You can buy over the counter face bleach for women, I've used it for years and I swear by it.
Good luck.
Has anyone experienced unwanted facial hair? I use nair to remove the hair but it burns my face and doesnt last long. I am looking for results. My mother has a mustache, and I dont ever want to look like that. Any suggestions?

Waxing is the way to go. Shaving can eventually lead to a 5:00 shadow-I have seen it happen with other women.
DO NOT USE NAIR!!! The hair will really come back thicker! I have had dark hair on my face for years (my mother and grandmother also) you need to BLEACH. Joleen facial hair bleach is the best-I promise it will help.
I also have used the facial bleach, make sure it is made for your face. It it gentle, I have even used it on my arms too.
i use either jolen or sally hanson facial hair bleach and just make mine blonde and it's barely noticable. i had a friend who started waxing and it's just gotten thicker which i didn't want, so i find bleaching mine is best. you can buy those products at walmart or probably even walgreens or kroger. good luck. hope it works for you.
WAXING!!! It is the best solution there is, unless of course you want to pay high dollar for lasar hair removal. My mother has unwanted chin hairs waxing takes them away for at least two-three weeks. I wax my eyebrows and lip. Its a little uncomfortable the first time you do it but it sure beats tweezing. Unlike others say waxing does not make it come back thicker, I am a cometologist and it DOES NOT make it grow thicker it just seems to be thicker because of the way the hair feels growing back in, like shaving... with any method you choose you will have to keep up with it unless of course you do choose to go with laser.
What about laser hair removal? I know it's kind of expensive, but it's an option to explore.
Hey, girl my very best friend has the same problem. It grows on her face and her chest. Have you ever heard of threading? Well, it is another form of hair removal. It is very painful, but I highly recommend it, it lasts a lot longer than wax or tweezing. You might may to ask your stylist about it, and make sure you shop around because it can be costly.
HI -
I know there are laser treatments but I don't know how much they are. You could probably google "laser hair removal" and find some info. I think a good salon would also wax it, which lasts longer than shaving/Nair.
Good luck!

I would try bleaching it. I have a moustache, and often use a product called Joleen....you can get it at any drugstore. If that doesn't work, there is always electrolysis.
Hi K.,
I'VE BEEN WAXING FOR YEARS, THE HAIR GROWS BACK THINNER AND GETS LESS AND LESS.
K.,
I am having mine removed by laser. There is a place called American Laser and they charged me around $200 or $300 for my chin area (that would include any place around your mouth). Prices may vary. But, if you want to get rid of the hair permanently, then I would just do laser. They also work out payment plans.

wax it hurts but is worth it
i have the same problem mine started after i had a hystorectmy. i had to start taking hormones and my doc said it is the male hormone causing it. i started getting it waxed. sometimes i go to a salon. and sometimes i buy the already waxed strips and do it myself. it seems that when it is done at the salon it lasts longer. whatever you do dont ever shave. it will make it really worse. anyways waxing is your best option. good luck!!
I bought an electrolysis (sp?) thingy from Sharper Image. It has attachments for mustache, eyebrows and nether regions. It was about one hundred dollars but it was the last time I had to spend any money on the matter. I figure I had already spent waaay more than that on maintainace. Fortunately my 'stache was blonde, but it still caused a shadow that, to me was really noticable.
I understand the imbaracement completely, but I think it something 99% of women deal with at some point in their life. It's kind of like your first period, you DON'T want to ask anybody about the best product, but then you realize that it's not that big a deal.
I am Native American and have unwanted facial hair also. It's a hassle but I get it waxed for $7 at the salon where i get my nails done. She also does my eyebrows, since they are a little thick too. I also have a product that is similar to Nair. It's made by Avon. i use it when I need to do a quick job and can't get to the salon.
I wish I could afford laser removal or electrolysis...but that is just a bit too expensive since I left work to care for my baby that was born in Aug 2005.
Good luck.
You can bleach it. They have facial bleach that will do the trick.
I have the same problem so I use the wax strips. I cant remember the name of them, but they are the ones that you rub between your hands to warm the wax up, then place them on the hair and tear away from the skin. There isnt much pain at all. They work for me!! You can find them in walmart next to the nair and all that. Hope it works!
Just shave it. It's cheap and easy. Just make sure you mosturize afterwards to prevent bumps!!
Avon has a new Skin So Soft hair removal lotion, every one I have asked really likes it, it doesn't hurt, and it leaves your skin soft afterward. It is so small it looks like a lip gloss, so you can fit/hide it in anything.
they now have a hair trimmer that is "safe enough for a baby" it was an ad on tv wal mart carries it i think you may wanna try it
Aww.. dont worry it is very common. Think about it there are only two places on your entire body that dont have hair and thats the palms of your hand and soles of your feet... I hate to sayt his though, I use Jolen bleach... I do it about once a month or so and the bleach is VERY cheap! I pay like $4 for a box and it lasts forever! You can get it anywhere... Good Luck!
Hi Katrine,
First thing you should do is visit your doctor. Hair growth on the face represents a hormone imbalance, and could be something like your thyroid. I have the same problem.
Stop using Nair on your face. You can get your lip, chin and brows waxed for $10 each at Dillards, or try Mitzi's. (Ask for Suzanna) Both do a good job.
use wax for hair removing , or just the twissors, it takes time but it will not burn
Waxing is probably the best! I use Veet facial strips...you can get them in walmart...just cut to fit your mouth...I use them and alot of my girlfriends use them if we can't afford to go get them waxed at a salon...but if you can afford it hey girl go...it works!
hey K.,
don;t be embarrassed and its funny you mentioned that I was watching the Tyra Banks show and she was speaking about beauty secrets, she says not to ever shave or remove hair becase it will grow back thicker and quicker.its like the hair knows you dont want it there so they are messing with you growing back quicker...my sister is light skinned and has a mustache, and its actually pretty...some woman have it really thick so i can understand shy they would want to cut or shave it..if you do get ready to shave almost everyday like a man...
good luck ..please keep me updated
I have facial hair that looks like I am growing a goat-tee. I visited my doctor and he said I had an elevated testosterone level and gave me some hormone therapy. I don't think the hormones are helping but I do go to a local salon ran by a close friend of mine and have a wax job done every four weeks.
