A Gift for 11 Year Old Girl

Flowers seem like a strange thing to send to an 11 year old girl. Maybe there is something I don't know about culture?

Anyway, I have a daughter who is turning 11 tomorrow. We gave her an iPod touch for her birthday. Obviously you're not planning on purchasing something of that magnitude, but if you know this little girl has one then maybe an iTunes gift card, so she can purchase some new games to play while she is sick? Other things my daughter received for her birthday from her friends - a couple of t-shirts from Justice (she and all of her friends LOVE that store!), lunch at the American Girl store - and then she also gets to pick one accessory for her doll, jewelry - all costume obviously, but she loves it all (a charm bracelet and some necklaces), nail polish. That's all I can remember right now. She's also really into little keychains that she can attach to her backpack for school. And fun pillows and blankets for her room (with fun designs, peace symbols, that sort of thing). Anyway, these are the things MY 11 year old likes. Hopefully that helps a bit. I'm sure she'll be happy to receive any type of care package from you. I know my daughter LOVES getting mail and packages! I hope she heals quickly.

This is so sad! No, I dont think flowers are a good gift. There are ways you can order them but I think they would be a waste.

What about stuffed animals for comfort? Or movies she can watch if she has to stay in bed. Good books things like that. Anything to make her more comfortable.

I hope for the best for this poor girl and her family. It is nice of you to think of them in this time.

I saw this on QVC the other day and when I read your note I thought it would be perfect. It is a bracelet maker with all the stuff. They can send this as a gift with a note enclosed. I have order from them several times.

I think a sick 11 year-old girl would like flowers, and there are several online places that will deliver them for you, and allow payment through a credit card.

I found these to be very cute and appropriate for a girl that age. I have a 10 year-old daughter.
