6 Mo Old No Longer Sleeps Through the night...yawn!

I thought I was one of the lucky ones...my daughter slept through the night at 4 mo. and my husband and I were elated! However, for the past two weeks, we have not been so lucky. Typically, in terms of sleep schedules, I went by her cues. She usually woke up around 6 am, napped once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once in the evening, and then was asleep by 8:30 pm. Now, she is on the same schedule, but she wakes up constantly throughout the evening. I mean, last night we were up every two hours! She isn't hungry, and I thought that it may be from teething pain, but I gave her Tylenol and she doesn't seem to be in any discomfort. I have become so exhausted that I let her sleep in our bed with us so I don't have to get up every two seconds...this makes my hubby (obviously) irritated and neither of us are sleeping well. I'm not sure what else to do! I have a schedule, bedtime routine, etc. and it seems that nothing is really working. Should I change my sleep schedule? Are there any other magical tricks you mom's know of? Please help! I'm sooo tired!

What can I do next?

i would bring her in to see if she has an ear infection. my son has been a good sleeper to, but i can usually tell if he has an ear infection because he wont sleep through the nite. he never shows any other signs other than not sleeping well. its worth bringing her in to rule it out anyways and go from there. good luck!

G.,
She really should be sleeping through the night. It might be teething and maybe a little congestion with that,or it may just be that she has grown out of the evening nap. Try withholding the evening nap for a few days and see how that goes. When she does wake up try not to go in and check on her right away she might put herself back to sleep. I also have a friend that all she had to do was put a pacifer back into her mouth and she was good to go but mine never would take pacifers. I also try not to make eye contact for some reason that works too. Patting the back, put pacifer in and quickly leave room without eye contact. Hope one of these suggestions helps!! C. SAHM of 6.
