My niece had her 6th at Van Grow. It is an art studio for kids in Fort Worth and it has a party room for birthday parties. The kids loved it.
Hey moms! I need to plan a birthday party pretty quickly for my daughter turning 5. Its the week after Thanksgiving. Any ideas? We live in Arlington but also 15 minutes from downtown FT. Worth. I want to have it somewhere else other than my home and within 20 minutes from home. Please help!

Swimming pool party, gymnastics party, ice skating party, paint your own pottery party, spa party (get nails done), indoor trampoline place party, pony rides party. Give your daughter some choices after you've researched cost and let her pick.
Not from the area at all, but what about a craft store? Michaels and Jo Anns are around here. Not sure what is by you, but they do craft parties. Bowling is always fun, too. Just let them know to put the bumpers in for the kids.
-Is there a pottery painting place in your town?
-a cupcake shop? You could go to a place for lunch (pizza or otherwise)
then end up @ the cupcake shop.
-a stuffed animal shop that you can buy them each a small tiny animal?
-an antimated, G-rated movie complete w/popcorn, then you end up @ an ice cream shop
Go to Michaels or another craft store. Get kits - like necklaces, turkey hats, etc. Let the girls make take home crafts in lieu of goodie bags. Consider telling them to dress up in whatever fun costumes they want. This was my DD's friend's party recently and she LOVED IT.
Now, if you want it somewhere other than home, ask if a nature center would allow you to rent space. This time of year it may be available.
Do you have a bounce house place near you? We did that for my daughter's 4th birthday and all the kids loved it. We've been to 2 others and invited to 3 more that we couldn't attend. They do most of the work for you.
When our daughter turned 5, (. 12/27) we catered BBQ at fairview farms which had pony rides and hay mazes. This was way back when Toy Story was popular and daughter wanted to be Jesse
We included parents and it was a hit plus a nice break just after Chrustmas day.
Other than that, roller skating, bowling, art/crafts store, etc
Have fun
