Looking for winter ideas for my daughter's six year birthday party. Her birthday is January 13, 2012....Winter is so hard to find for parties. Looking for places and not at my house. I own a small condo. Let me know.

What can I do next?

Do you guys have something like a Jump Zone, with all the big blow up toys? They are tons of fun pretty safe, and lots of those places have party deals. What about a salon (I bet Columbus has one that caters to girls) where she and some friends can go get manicures and facials? The ones that cater to girls also have party deals. How about a tea shop or little girlie cafe where she can have a tea party? Those are always so fun. If you can find a little place and just reserve it, you can bring dress up clothes for the girls with fancy hats (gotten at goodwill or something like it) for the girls and ties and vests for the boys. Then they can have "high tea" with little sandwiches and scones and little cakes and cookies.

Those are just a few of my thoughts, hope they help.

My son is in january as well and always looking for good ideas. We did Pump it Up (indoor inflatables) last year. Some of our friends have done SkyZone (indoor trampolines) or bowling which was fun. We are thinking either an indoor waterpark or a tubing hill this year, depending on how cold it might be. I like the ice skating party idea too. Embrace the winter birthday :)

It depends on your what your daughter likes to do and what you have in your area. The options near us are: roller skating, Pump It Up, Monkey Joes, Bowling, Gymnastics, Movie theater, pottery painting, indoor mini golf, indoor pool, and theme parties at the park district. If you want to invite just 2-3 close friends of hers, you can do a manicure & lunch with them (if she's into girly things). Good luck!

I don't live in columbus but we have been through there on our way to akron. we spent a couple days there last time we went through. one of the best stops we made was at the COSI museum. I know they do birthdays as they had one going on while we were there. My son loved the place. we actually spent about 7 hours there. I would check into that as I bet it would be a huge hit.

I dont know your area specifically, but im sure you have a few of the same places we do.

1. A jump place like pump it up or monkey joes. You usually get pizza and cake with the price to rent it out.
2. If she is girly, we have a sweet & sassy salon, all girls pampering. Maybe there is something near you? hair, makeup, nails, toes then they model on a runway & have a small party room for pizza n cake.
3. Not sure if you have a park district? forest preserve? They usually have rooms equipped w/ kitchens that you can rent and plan whatever you like!!
4. I know local museums usually have a birthday package, the prices are usually more than most other things.
5. Ice cream parlor or candy store??? We have been to a candyland party at a candy store that was tons of fun. My daughter still talks about it.

I live in a small condo also, although i must say i wouldnt do it if i had a house because the clean up sucks!!LOL
Good Luck!!!!

I was also going to suggest ice skating...FUN! You could also do bowling, my daughter is only 4 but she loves it. Other than that, yes the other places people mentioned would be good...inflatable places, gymnastics, indoor pool, etc.

Also, I've heard of some hair salons doing birthday parties, you might look into something like that if she's a girly girl. It would be fun to have little up-dos and manicures! Or what about a pottery painting place...those are fun too!

Cupcake places are still kind of big and a few around us do birthday parties. It's really cute actually and they get an apron and get to decorate cupcakes. Even if they don't supply the apron it would be a great craft/party favor and I know you can get blank aprons at Michaels and maybe even Oriental Trading.
