Aria just turned 4 in June and I'm really late about signing her up but can anyone give advice on how to get her started? She wants to cheer and mommy wants her to try. :) I live in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area. I could sign her up ASAP. Thanks for all your help.
Thanks everyone. I did find a cheer gym but my husband wants us to keep expenses down, so we're going to let her finish ballet this year and give her the option to start with the cheer gym during the summer after her ballet recital. :)
You could also check local dance studios. Sometimes they offer cheer classes.
I am not in your area but I do have a 10th grade cheerleader, co captain of her squad.
It is expensive... Plan to pay about 3 times what you are quoted. We are with the school district. I am President of the cheer boosters and very involved in fundraising for competitions.
I would look for a cheer gym. We work with a cheer gym where they specialize with cheerleaders to train our girls for competition. My daughter works privately with one of the trainers at the cheer gym once a week.
She absolutely loves it, excels in it and it has been a lot of fun for her.
Good luck to your daughter.
