You should try Metroplex Gymnastics in Allen. They have great highly trained coaches, and small class ratios. Its much more of a professional atmosphere then the other local preschool gyms!!
Hi there -my daughter is interested in taking tumbling - we were out in the fall and need to get back in it - we were going to WOGA on Parker and Independence - not sure if this is my favorite place - there is also ASI - Let me know what your opinions are on this subject.

I'm not sure how old your daughter is, but you should check out Plano Unlimited Sports Academy. Get in a class with Matt Sturgis. My daughter started with him 3 years ago and could barely do a Cart Wheel. She nas her back tuck now and is working on her layouts. He is a great tumbling coach. I'm not sure if your interested, but Matt also has a competitive cheer squad, Envy Cheer, that my daughter cheers on, and LOVES it. You can get all the info online at http://www.planounlimitedsportsacademy.com. The info for the cheer squad is www.envycheer.com.
I'm not sure where you are located, but our daughter is at Eagle Gymnastics in Frisco. They are great! The owners also teach the classes, and are very friendly. My daughter has learned A LOT there.
Good Luck in your search!

Hi there! My son (who is now 5) took gymnastics when he was 3 1/2 at ASI - he took at the Frisco location AND Dallas (I think) off of Rosemeade (sp??) and BOTH locations were terrible! The place was a MADHOUSE! Kids running everywhere, and the instructors were no more than highschool kids! When he was 4 - I had him take lessons at The Little Gym (not to be confused with My Gym) and while it was WAY more expensive, it was much, much, better!!!!!!!! One last thing about ASI - it's the same boring routine week after week, and at Little Gym - while it's the same routine - it's more one on one with an instructor (ex: ASI - 10 kids to one teacher and there was always one kid who was a discipline issue so it took away from the other kids - Little Gym has 2 instructors per 5 kids). Ok - whew! I hope that helps.
Sincerely,
Marge P.
I have three daughters that took gymnastics classes through the city of Plano Aerobats program. It's very affordable and they have classes at the Recreation centers. You can go for fun and then eventually work toward being on a team if that's your goal. This is their phone ###-###-####.

We have been at WOGA for about 3 yrs now and love it there. I think it all depends on who teaches the class. We go during the day and she LOVES her teacher (Cameron) and it is a small class, but we tried other days/times/teachers and she was not as happy. Not sure what you didnt like about it there though.
Anyways....we tried a ton of other places in the area before choosing there and I was not impressed. For the money at least I know she is getting really good instruction too. (considering they have had several champions trained there, including the current world champion.)
Hi there!
I used to coach and compete. Depending on how old your daughter is and her skill set, you have a lot of options. At Spring creek and Independence there is an Infinite Bounds that I know people really liked for their daughter who is now 5th grade and progressing still. She strictly is tumbling. WOGA and ASI are going to be more complete all around gymnastics programs. I would not spend the money at WOGA until it is something that your daughter is committed to. When you spend 4 hours a night in the gym 5 days a week, you want to be a bit more picky. I also think the Y has a decent program for beginners that are in preschool. You will pay significantly less for decent instruction. There are a ton of gyms around to choose from. At beginning levels, you won't have too much difference between programs. If it is for cheerleading, you could also look into those signature gyms as well. They are a totally different brand of tumbling.
Hope that helps...if you need more information, feel free to email me at ____@____.com and I can help you out more and do some research with you.
Hi A., I was just going to ask you why WOGA wasn't your favorite place. It's funny but I was going to go up there today to enroll my little girl. I know nothing about it. Any advice or input would help and be very much appreciated! Thanx, S.
My daughter has been with Tumble Bugs in McKinney for 7 years...we love it! She has competitive teams, but still makes it fun and loving. It's hard to find many warm fuzzy coaches at WOGA, but they are all that way at TBG.
There is a place called Tumble Bugs in McKinney, they are fabulous!!! The owners name is Trish and she is just the nicest person, really cares about the kids! My son goes there and they have some cool computer classes there that he takes as well. Hope this helps.
My daughter has gone to Metroplex Gymnastics for 3 years now and loves going. She is currently in a mini-tumbling class and has lots of fun. She is not perfect at it, but she enjoys it and it gets her some out of school activities. This year I have also put my son in it to help him with his Tae Kwon Do moves to limber him up. I love the studio. It has been in business for I think about 20 years and is family owned. They also have a competition team, but it is fun to watch all of them work.
