A friend of mine is trying to plan a birthday party for her husbands 40th birthday. She was looking for suggestion on a place in North Dallas that has private or semi-private room so she can decorate, bring in a cake and of course so we can roast him.
Also looking for a bar like setting, that is kind of laid back. I could not think of any places that weren't family type restaurants. Anybody have any ideas?

So What Happened?

Thank you for responding. She decided on a place in Denton, since that is where they live. I don't think she thought about staying in Denton until she saw the post on Hannahs on the Square. I am going to keep the other responses because out whole group has 40th birthdays coming up and we are always looking for a private room. Thanks again.

I know you said Dallas, so this may be a little far, but Hannah's Off the Square in Denton has a room that can be closed off, is right next to the bar, and they have wonderful drinks and food. I just took my husband there for his 41st b-day and it was wonderful. I often attend meetings for work there as well, and have never been let down. :)

Sullivan's has Ringside that you can rent out for a while. We went to a bday party there.

If she wants to bring everything in...get a nice banquet room at a nice hotel (Shops of Legacy maybe), have a DJ and bring your own decor. Country Clubs also rent out areas but you would also need to provide your entertainment.

As soon as I sign off here, I will think of a ton of places. GOod luck.

Macroni Grill in Addison use to have a small room that would hold around 50 or so. You could have appetizers and drinks at the event. We had a friend's 40th there and it was very nice.
