Hi. My brother turns 40 soon and I'd like to send him a package with some fun "over the hill" type of items. I don't want anything gross...just stuff that will make him laugh after he opens this from his younger sister.:) Thanks for any suggestions!

What can I do next?

That kind of stuff really adds up and if is isn't going to use it.Maybe you could buy him something like Clinique eye cream for men or an exfoliant, something he will need to start using . Maybe a massage or facial or a pedicure!I bet he would love it!

Based on experience with my husband's 40th, he did receive some gag gifts. They obviously ended up in the garbage, so it is kind of a waste of money. He really did appreciate the gift cards to sporting good stores. Better yet, a gas gift card would not go to waste! Good luck!

Just do what my friends did: Go to the drug store and get geriatric stuff. I got a pack of depends, some reading glasses, stool softener, age spot fading cream, ensure, hemorrhoid cream, etc.

(Edit) I should clarify -- a bunch of my friends EACH got me one obnoxious thing and put them all together. So nobody spent a ton of money. Most of the stuff I ended up giving to a local nursing home (depends, ensure, etc.) The rest I saved and have given back to some of the givers when it was their turn.

When I turned 40 in January, friends gave me a lot of creams and lotions - especially for wrinkles. It was funny, and I figured I am going to use it one day. There are a few products for men for the older set - I would pick up a bunch of those.

Spencer's in the mall has a lot of obnoxious over-the-hill stuff. Have fun!
