Hi,
Just wondering what everyone else did or is doing for their childs 2nd birthday? My son will be two at the end of February & I'm not sure what to do. I know he is to young for all the "fun stuff" like chuck e cheese & McDonalds but I have no idea what else might be age appropriate. For his first, we did cupcakes, ice cream, and balloons at home. Mostly family came & we all had a great time. I'm not sure if I should just repeat that or if I should try something new. Also, we live near Flower Mound so if it involved going out, it would have to be pretty close. What does everyone else do at this age? I'd appreciate any advice/input you might have.
Thanks so much!!

Good Morning,
For my son's 2nd birthday, we hired the "Boogie Woogie Choo Choo" man to come out. It was Superbowl Sunday, so we did hot dogs/hamburgers on the grill for the adults. The Boogie Woogie man brings out that train that he pulls with a 4 wheeler and the kids LOVE it!! The cars are made out of 1/2 barrels with seats inside. He was here 1-1.5 hours and charged $95. You are NOT limited to how many kids participate, so it was a bargain for the house full of friends, neighbors, and family that came over!! He's in the phone book and lives in Flower Mound!!
Good luck!

We did our twins 2nd bday at Little Gym. It was fantastic. Something for almost every age kid to enjoy. They handled everything for the most part. I just showed up with a cake, pizza for the kids and the party favors for the most part. The run the event/program...the kids loved the gym activities. They even wrote down who gave what gift on a list for us (if you plan to open them at the party...if we did it again we probably wouldnt...kids didn't have the attention span for it). Anyway - I highly recommend. No clean up etc. It was great and everyone had a great time.

I am not sure either so please let me know as well when you find out something and If I think of anything I will definitely let you know.
My son will be 2 in May so I am definitely have been thinking of it as well.
I did the park last year but he had a melt down right when it was time to blow out candle/cut the cake and open presents cause he decided he didn't want to take a nap, hopefully this will not happen.

Good Luck.
M.

We're doing a bounce house for my soon-to-be 2 year old. I have a friend who has a bounce house business, so if you're interested, I can give you his info.

I am soooo glad some else is in the same boat as me. I have a beautiful granddaughter who will be 2 on the 7th of Febuary and i have no clue what to do for her. We did the Chucky-Cheese thing for her first birthday but mostly the older people enjoyed that. Her mother and I wanted to do an Elmo theme for her birthday .... but you can't rent the costume. Something bout the Disney costumes being use for rude sexual acts. How gross.... but anywho if you get any ideals let me know ... and I'll do the same.

oh btw ... my name is L. .... and I live in Justin, TX.

I have a little girl that turned 2 the end of June. We didn't do a party this year. We just went to the Dallas World Aquarium. It's wonderful. It's not like a zoo. It's mostly indoors and you're very close to the animals. They have all kinds of animals, too. Flamingos and other interesting birds, monkeys, an awesome shark tank with a tunnel you can walk through so you're looking up at the sharks. They have exotic cats, too. When we were there they had the panther out on display, but they also have a Jaguar that they rotate. It was a lot of fun and she really enjoyed it. I got tons of great pictures. We went when they opened on a Saturday and it wasn't too crowded, but there were lots of other kids there enjoying it.
