Allergies, conjunctivitis, an infection that is presenting with no fever. My son doesn't ever feel sick either, but I can tell by the pink/purple circles under his eyes when he is getting sick.
Hi everyone,
Two days ago, red circles appeared under my son's eyes. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Other than the circles, his mood and energy level has been the same and no fever. Just curious what this might be.
Thanks!

Red circles under MY son's eyes mean allergies. When my son was 3, his pediatrician took one look at him and stated "he's having an allergic reaction RIGHT NOW". I was like "What?! He ALWAYS looks like that!" Poor kid had seasonal (as well as other) allergies and being a first time parent, I had no clue allergies could present with redness under the eyes. It's been under control for 10 years now, but at the time I was really surprised to hear that not all allergic reactions result in sniffles, runny noses, itchy eyes and sometimes anaphylactic shock, that it could JUST be redness under the eyes, or even a grumpy mood!
Allergies, most likely. When I was little, my doc told my mom I had "allergic shiners." This is circles under the eyes that are unusually dark or red. Sure enough, I've had multiple allergies all my life.
I've always had circles under my eyes. Mostly from allergies. No food ones, just seasonal, as well as mild animal and chemical ones.
