I need suggestions on what to do for my daughter's birthday in June. She will be 2 and I'm trying to decide on what you do for a 2 year birthday party. She is very active and I want her to enjoy her party more than anything.

So I am asking for suggestions and tales of what you did for your babies.

TYIA!

What about a cute entertainer that will play games with the children and perform a puppet show? Try Funny Business at www.dfwfunnybusiness.com. They do great kids parties for 2 year olds.

For my DD 2nd birthday (also in June- HOT) we went to a park that also had a small splash pool. We had a grill right by the playground and a covered pavillion. It was lots of fun for everyone. You could have it at home and set up some small pools in the backyard and cookout. My daughter is now 7- and pretty much all of her birthdays have been outdoors in the water. Good luck!

I am not sure if this is close enough to you, or if you have something similar in your area, but in Lewisville, we love to go to the little water parks. For the 2 year old, I would suggest the one on College St (which is just off of 1171 if you arent sure). It is so easy to keep up with the kids..tons of fun, and VERY cheap. I think each kid is like $2. We have so much fun, and even though it is a little bit of a drive, we will be getting seasons passes this year!! Enjoy ~A.~

We host birthday parties out at Meadowmere Park - www.AdventureDayCamps.com - at the same location we hold our Spring Break and Summer Camps. Both the girls and boys have a blast. With your daughter turning 2, we can do some fun outdoor games with them. There is a beach area as well as a great playground. We could have a scavenger hunt, obsticle course, water balloons, and more. We will be purchasing another water slide this year for our camps and will probably have it in time for your daughter's party. Feel free to call me if you have questions - ###-###-####.

We rented a bounce house for my son's 2nd b-day. It was money well spent. They played in that thing for 4 straight hours. Only came out to eat cake and open presents. I think you can get them anywhere from $75-$110 dollars. Let's Jump in Keller does it for $109.

We had our daugther's 2nd birthday party (and her big sister's 3rd birthday party) at Gymboree Play & Music in Plano. We had WONDERFUL experiences-- I cannot say enough good things about them!! So much fun, very kid centered, family friendly, lots of fun! I would HIGHLY recommend them!
Congratulations to you on two years of amazing blessings!

I have always heard that Little Gym parties are really neat! My daughter is 3 and takes classes there and they are so much fun. They even have a bubble machine that hangs from the ceiling and the kids run around popping the bubbles, I am sure your daughter would love that. A bounce house is always fun, but you would have to do it kind of early so it is not to hot.

Oh I have a daughter with a June 30th birthday and every year I just dread the heat! She will be 11 this year, each year is more creative than the last :)

If you decide to do something outdoors, take a look at having Sno-To-Go out to keep your guests cool. We do shaved ice parties and Sno-Man Mania parties, were kids get to build sno-men, have a sno-ball fight and eat "sno-cones". A great way to keep cool!

GL with whatever you decide!
