Sinus Congestion Worse After Medication...?

A few days ago I started Nasonex (spelling) for sinus congestion that was found to be from an MRI. The box says you should see symptoms get better in a few days. It has been 4 days on the spray and I cannot breath at all, I sound hoarse and an suffering way more then before I even knew I was congested. Is this normal. If so how long can I expect to feel like this roughly? Thanks for any help. Oh and I can tell that I am getting cleared out but still feel miserable.

Severe Nasal Congestion

My (almost) 1 year old is sick with a nasty cold yet again. I have tried saline nasal spray and the nasal aspirator, both of which work, but make her cry. A vicious cycle! I also elevated one end of her crib to help her sleep. She is so congested she can hardly breath or eat, and is waking herself up with coughing. I wish infant nasal decongestants were still on the market... Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Zyrtec Vs. Nasonex

My 2.5 year suffers from a chronic wet cough. It's been months and months and the cough is still there. At one point, we gave him Zyrtec per the dr's recommendation and it cleared up for alittle while but then it came back. Nasonex helped another time but then it also came back. Now I'm at a loss - do I have to give Zyrtec and/or Nasonex daily to keep the cough away? Or is it on an as needed basis? What's the difference between the 2 medications and which is safer? How long have your kids been on it? Thanks!
