To Breastfeeding Moms

I have two sons that I chose to use formula with, I'm at peace with that choice. I'm very uncomfortable, however, about doing any breastfeeding in public. No offense, but I think it particularly offensive when ladies choose not to cover up while breastfeeding in public, like at a resaraunt. With that said, I am pregnant with baby number 3 and would like explore the option of pumping only so that my baby has the benefits of breastmilk without having to breastfeed in front of anyone. Walk me through it- how big of a pain would it be to just...

Other Bottle/nipple Options

I have used AVENT bottles on my two older children without any problem. My 2 month old will not take a bottle, and I am returning to work part time soon. Can anyone recommend another bottle/nipple that worked for them? It would be nice to be able to leave for work knowing that she will be able to eat while I am gone.

Breast Feeding Pain

My daughter is almost 3 weeks old. She's been doing well breast feeding but within the last couple days, my nipples have become almost unbearably painful! I'm using nipple cream after almost every feeding but I'm still almost in tears every time she feeds. I saw a lactation consultant and she thought my daughter's latch was pretty good. That was before the pain was this bad. Is this common? Will it get better and what do I do in the meantime?

Just Had C-section, Been Pumping Milk for My Baby but Not Muchl

I want to breast feed my son but I am having problems producing milk. I am pumping right now because my son was 5 weeks early and he's still in the hospital. He is doing really well he's breathing on his own, eating good, and his weight is good. Drs want to remove him from his incubator sometime tomorrow or Sunday. ( I live in South Korea) I am concerned I won't be able to breast feed at all because my milk just doesn't want to come out. I pump every three hours and get less then an ounce every time. With my first son my breasts were so...

Ameda vs Medela Pump

I bought the Ameda pump and have only been able to pump a maximum of 1.5 oz with it, regardless of when I pump. I'm wondering if the Medela Pump N Style would pump more milk? Has anyone tried both pumps and noticed a difference in output?

Can I Continue Breastfeeding Without a Pump?

My sister-in-law has let me borrow her breastpump but now she is having her second baby and needs it back. I have been pumping while at work and breastfeeding my son whenever I'm with him. My question is if I'm not pumping during the day will my milk supply totally diminish? I would like to continue to breastfeed him but I'm worried I wont be able to keep up my supply without the pumping. I have to give the pump back in about 3 weeks is there anything I should do to prepare? My son is already supplmenting with formula.
