Wanting to Work from Home.

I am wanting to work from home. Esp. w/ the way the gas prices are. Does anyone have any ideas / suggestions on what kind of jobs that are availble, that would allow me to work from home? It would be easier for me to work from home. Then I wouldn't have to worry IF there was bad weather or something like that. Plus I would probably save $ on gas. Any suggestions will greatly be appreciated.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I went back to school and graduated. Now I'm a state certified Nail Tech. Haven't been able to find a job (yet). Most places aren't hiring, only hire w/in their race, or are laying employee's off due to the economy. I'm hoping to get some crafts made and get them sold (hopefully). I might advertise on ebay, but I'm not sure. I'm still interested in working from home.

Hi C.:

I am so excited about the team that I joined. It's called the Stayin Home and Lovin It team. We are partnered with a company that is 21 years old now and the owner of the company has been highly recognized by the Better Business with the highest honor you can have, the Better Business Hall of Fame Award. It's an international health and wellness company called Melaleuca. Our team does an informational call that I would love to bring you on. It lasts about 30 minutes so you could possibly give me a couple times that would work and we'll get you scheduled to listen. They start at 7am and the last one of the day is at 9pm, these times are Mountain time.
Best thing about my job is that I don't sell, stock or deliver anything!!! I am a busy mom of three children and didn't have time for all that so this was perfect for me.
You're welcome to email me or call me.
Here's my website: http://tinamccomb.stayinhomeandlovinit.com
If you go to "get more info" it will take you to the place where you can request info directly from me and me only. Nobody else will be calling so you don't have to worry about that.
My number is ###-###-####. I'm from South Dakota.
Anxious to talk with you!!

C.,
I strongly encourage you to research any and all of these stay at home "businesses". Almost all of them I have come across are scams. Just google their name and you will usually be able to find out whether or not they are for real.

Dear C.,
I am with the company that both these ladies are talking about. It's an awesome company, but you will have to "work". It's not a get rich quick thing. It's important to be on the right team, and if I could start over I would choose "The MOM Team". I've been super impressed with them. I am not with them, but am with the same company they are with. I don't have a supportive team like they are, so if I were you, I'd go with the MOM team. Just a suggestion from experience and seeing what they are cabaple of. Your Friend,
L.

I, too, have been looking into this. I had my son last March & am looking at getting back to work here soon. I'm attending college online & love it- but I need something with a paycheck :) I've looked into many of these 'work from home' websites, checked with the BBB and most are considered to be a hoax. If you find anything legit- don't be afraid to send it my way! :) If you do find any though, I would suggest double-checking with the Better Business Bureau, just in case!

C.,
Hi! It really depends on if you are looking for a "job" to work from home or a "business" to work from home. I would encourage you to do research into both. A job offer will not charge you any up front fees, membership costs, etc. In my experience these are hard to find. There are also many great home-based businesses you can get into, with start-up costs from under $50 to $1000's. You already know your interests, so I would look for a business that falls in line with your interest, goals, budget and schedule. In my experience it very difficult to work a business from home if you do not like it. It just doesn't work! Fortunately I have found something that I love doing! my website is www.nebraskamom.com if you want to check it out. Good Luck on your search!

Like the other ladies have said, decide on if you want a job or a business of your own from home. With a job from home, you do have to answer to someone else, but at least you get paid right away for your work. There are a lot of freelance opportunities available. If you want to start a business from, there are great companies too. However, please be careful and ask a lot of questions. Even some of the best companies aren't always up front with all the costs involved. Especially, if they are asking you to market something. Marketing isn't the easiest thing and yes there may be training available, but it takes time to learn. Just keep that in mind.

Hey C.,
I just found this site and wanted to respond. I know you posted yours a while back, however, if you are still looking for a home based business or would like to just add to what you are doing, i have something i think you would enjoy. First, do you like candles? If the answer is yes, i would like to show you how to make your own hand poured soy candles and make money doing it. Its very simple and can be done right in your own home. You are not restricted to where or how you sell your candles. There is a start up investment of $100.00 to $500.00 depending on where you want to start. The kits include everything you will need to start. I would like to talk to you about this and send you a free insta candle and information packet for you to look at. I quit my full time job at the corporate level to do this full time and i love it. I was able to replace my income within 5 months and we are still going strong. In fact, we out grew our kitchen and opened a small candle shop. On April, we are opening our second store. Its easy and profitable. If this is something you think you might be interested in, let me know. Call me at home ###-###-####, the store ###-###-#### or my cell ###-###-####. The name or our business is cool beans soy candles. We are part of Candle Wealth Int. Look at our web site cbcandlecompany.com. You wont be disapointed!
Sincerly,
D.

Hi C.! Sorry I'm responding so late. I haven't been signed in for a while and why??? Because after looking and looking for a job to do from home, I found one and have been busy making some bucks. LOL anyway, I saw that you were looking and I made a promise to myself after speaking with so many others who had gone down the same roads I have, the scams, the surveys (yeah right) and the "invest $1,000 that you don't have to start a business." well I found one and I'm willing to share. read the rest of this and then email me. I have two options. Try to remember in the subject line to put mama source so I know where you're coming from. Good luck. P.S. hey if you want to check me out on here just look at some of the advice i've given and if you feel i'm someone who would scam you then just click me off right now, but I am a caring person who wants to share what i've learned on this journey of finding a job just to live, not to get rich or anything.
Hi everyone! Long time no hear! I don’t know if ANYONE remembers me but I was a fairly regular commenter and even posted my own problems back in November and December. My name is J. and I’m from Idaho. I want to tell you the reason I haven’t been signed on to MamaSource.com for all of these months. I am newly widowed; just lost my husband not too long ago. Due to the manner in which he passed (suicide) there was no life insurance for me and my two daughters. This was doubly bad because not only do I not work outside of the home due to the fact that I have a pancreatic disease I was born with and it causes several serious problems which make it necessary for me to be at home, but both of our daughters have the disease also. They were both born with it and are also very ill. Things were not looking good for us. My monthly income was not even enough to cover our house let alone the car payment, orthodontist payment, regular utilities and all of the other “normal” things it takes to live. I was worried. I had no idea of what I was going to do. I sold one of our vehicles, sold my husband’s tools and then I had nothing more to sell.
I muddled around looking through the thousands of web pages that promised me “thousands in your first month” and I was never really impressed. Either it was way over my head or it sounded like a scam and usually it was. I knew one thing; I had to find something FAST! Then I heard about surveys. I heard from a few people who were making a lot of money doing surveys. So I thought well I could do that. I have opinions and I am at least a bit literate on the computer. So did some research and got registered with about 150+ survey companies most of them promised $25 - $50 to even $75 per survey. I waited and waited for those surveys to start pouring in and I was just calculating in my head how much money I was going to rake in.
Problem was the surveys came but not the surveys for $75, $50 or even $25. I got a couple worth $3 but I was getting hundreds a week that were worth “points”. Oh, I know with enough points you can trade them in for wonderful little prizes and even some you can trade for cash. Where were all of these surveys everyone was talking about I wondered. I was told to continue registering with more and more companies. I even found some “secret” companies who don’t advertise but I found out that it can take several months of completing the “points” surveys before you even qualify for the money ones, that’s IF you qualify.
I cried again for a couple of days and then told myself that there HAD to be something out there. I knew there was. I had heard so many wonderful success stories. I thought perhaps EBay or Google were my answers but after ordering the kits to get you started on those businesses, I found that I just didn’t know enough to start those. It would take some extra computer classes just to learn the “lingo”.
I was just about ready to give it up. I was about ready to attempt to open a daycare or something. Bring in just enough kids to make a living but not too many so that it would disrupt the lives of my children who were trying to get their school work done here everyday.
Then one day I was reading my email and I received the piece of mail I’d been waiting for. It was from a lady who had heard I’d been looking for a way to earn a living online. I wasn’t out to get rich but just earn a living. She gave me the opportunity to purchase from her a manual she had put together about a new form of “trading” on the internet that people are making anywhere from $500 a month to $5000 a month, depending how much time you want to spend. Spend a couple hours a day a couple days a week and you can make $1,000 a month. Spend about 5-6 hours a day a few days a week and you can earn $5,000 a month. This is no joke and it’s no scam. I’ve been doing it for a few months now and I’m here to tell you IT DOES WORK. It is legal, it is actually fun, you meet a lot of people and best of all, people come to you, willing to pay you to do something for them! They offer anywhere from $20 per job to $75 per job. A single job can be finished in 20-30 minutes. They usually pay you immediately through your paypal account, which if you don’t know what that is, it’s sort of like a bank account online.
For the remainder of the story, email me and I will forward it to your email! Trust me, you won’t regret this. I bought the manual, you don’t have to, I will send it to you free of charge! Email me now!!! ____@____.com

I found this website, I know this is very late but I thought that you might still be looking

http://www.skinnyshoestring.com/reviews/usborne.htm

You can see what the top businesses are and what are the pos and neg with each.

I just became as USBORNE consultant, http://www.ubah.com/z2937 so if you are interested in that one let me know I can get you more information. My supervisor has been doing it for a few years and loves it, she is able to stay home with her 2 kids.

Good Luck in finding what works out best for you, let me know what you find, I know other moms who are on the same path as you are.

Happy New year a bit late!!
