There is a well kept (I think) little known secret in the Northern part of OP..Milburn Country Club puts on a GREAT fire works show that isn't publicized at all. (In fact if you call them to enquire they tend to be rather vague in their answers - but every year the fireworks go off as it gets dark)

The country club is on Sante Fe between 71st and 67th Streets. (Behind Antioch park - if you need landmarks for help)

People sit along the residential streets if they aren't country club members. You do have to watch your location b/c this is an older neighborhood with established trees!

College park has a really nice display. You can park near the Double Tree hotel off of I-435 and you will see it real well.

Shawnee Mission Park has a big show - you have to get there early to stake out a spot & that could be hard with 2 little ones. We're going to park somewhere & watch them - I've heard there's a church on Renner Rd & Johnson Drive that has a great view & they let people park there to watch. Have fun!

Hi N.! Welcome to the area!

We go to Leawood every year. They have a shuttle from the corporate park just south of there into Leawood park. They have activities, food booths, music... lots of fun and a great display!
