It's an amazing workout!!!! HARD!!!!! You have to be "truly" committed to trying it and sticking with it..
I was always a gym person, not an at home working out kinda gal... I put my mind to it and so glad I did... I didn't do the eating part of it because I already know what/how to eat healthy.. The "recovery" drink I didn't buy from them either, I went to GNC and got accelerade which does the same thing..
The first 4-6 weeks were a great challenge and very exciting for me, the last 6 were challenging in a way that I had to push myself to do the videos because I was doing them by myself... If you have someone to do them with, great!!!!! I wish I did~
I 110% recommend it!!!!! It's hard but well worth it for the end results you'll get!
(try looking on amazon or ebay before buying it from the actual website)

I will be starting my first go-around with P90X on Monday and I am psyched! My best friend is a personal trainer and she does P90X all the time and prefers it over some incredibly tough workouts that she has. It works her hard enough so that she feels like she's done something good. I also have a couple other friends that did it and had fantastic results!

Eating right is a huge part of any get-fit regimen and the Nutrition Guide has all the tips and tricks to make it work for you. You'll still be eating a LOT, but if you do the workouts right, you'll be burning a LOT of calories, too. So you need the right kind of energy to make sure you stay conscious :)

If you plan on buying it, BEWARE OF EBAY. If you're ok promoting and helping the bootlegging industry, go ahead and buy anything marked "new" on Ebay for $65-70. They're not real and you'll see that when you see all the typos and errors in the Fitness Guide and Nutrition Guide (plus, they're illegal!). The discs may or may not work for as long as you need or want them to. Also, you will not qualify for any aid or assistance from the P90X customer service, training team or such--especially if anything breaks. I highly recommend going directly to www.beachbody.com to order. Beachbody is the company that owns/manages P90X and some other rockin' workouts. Yes, you'll pay more that at eBay, but if this is something you're serious about, you'll be using it often for a long time. Even after you're done with the 90 days, you'll still likely interperse the workouts into your maintenance.

It's great. We got copies of all the DVDs from a friend. Try that, so you don't have to buy it :)

Erin D is right, it works but it is a huge time commitment! We did 3 weeks, then life got in the way and we didn't finish it. After school starts I plan to try again.

I bought that 3 years ago, and they are the best workouts!! I am a runner and like to do my own thing now, I do not follow the program any longer, but when I use home workouts I use these. I love the effectiveness and enjoy doing them. I like doing weight workouts alot. I did follow the program when I first got it, and it definatley works:-)

I did the program from March - June (90 days)....it is FANTASTIC!!! Worth every cent. It is tough the first couple of days, because you will be so sore, I swear you use muscles that haven't been used in years....but stick with it. I had great results. I started it when my youngest was 10 months old and dropped all the baby weight/plus some and am more toned than I have been in years. We did not do the nutriton portion of the program as we already ate healthy and sensible. We are getting ready to start Insanity next (another Beachbody workout). Good luck!!!

I actually have done 3 weeks of it - it's HARD!, but it's fun (if you like that sort of "fun") I was so sore the first week and a half. The biggest problem for me is that each workout is an hour or more, and so it's a little hard to find time to do the whole workout. I've got a 4 month old who doesn't always take his whole hour nap, and my husband leaves for work early, and doesn't get home til late, so I have a hrad time finding a good time for it. But I like the workouts. :)

My husband and I both did it about 6 months ago. It works! But it's HARD and a serious commitment. We stuck with it for the 90 days but were completely spent afterwards. It's a 1 hour commitment 6 days per week. For us, working full time, we'd get home from work, eat dinner, play with kiddo and put her to sleep, then workout for an hour, shower and go to bed. That was our life for 90 days! If you have the time and commitment, it's an awesome program and you will see results! But it's definitely a commitment.

Hi - I'm in my 9th week of p90x and I swear I've never been in better shape, ever. I've lost all of my baby weight from baby #2 and am wearing clothes I haven't worn since before baby #1. I am someone that needs a lot of motivation to work out and stick with something and this has totally worked for me. The trainer on the videos is so great - he is always giving modifications and tons of encouragement. On every workout there are also 3 other people doing the full workout and it really helps to watch them.

The point of the workouts is to shock your body and to keep shocking it throughout the program. For instance, there is a strength workout that I haven't done since week 3 and I did it yesterday and am SORE today. There is a schedule you follow for the workouts - so you just do whatever DVD you're supposed to do for that day. Also on day 7 of each week you get the option to either rest or do the XStretch DVD - I highly recommend doing the XStretch because I really think it contributes to becoming wholly fit. Plus the stretches feel really good!

As everyone has mentioned, it is a commitment, because drastically changing your body isn't going to come without a commitment. But after 13 weeks you're going to have done just that. I'm only on week 9 and the results so far are truly amazing. I have a 3 year-old and a 14 month-old and I also work four days from 9-4, and I take the baby to work with me (on the 5th day during the week I have both kids home with me). So finding time for things is challenging, let alone a 60-90 minute workout! I get up at 5 AM every day and do it before everyone gets up. It is SO worth it. I'd say get it, you won't regret it if you stick with it!!
