Pregancy

I wanted to know how I get pregnant w/ #2..

July 22nd would be day one for you. How many days long is your cycle? Typically, we are most fertile between days 9 and 15. Today is day 19 for you, and you should be getting your period again somewhere between August 16th and 18th.

To shortline it, you'll be fertile again the 26th or 27th. Start taking some Robitussin on day 9, and baby asprin on day 7. The reason? Robitussin (plain, straight Robitussin) thins out cervical mucus and makes it easier to swim for the sperm. The baby asprin makes the lining of the uterus nice and rich, and ensures a better blood supply for egg to be fertilized in. The Robitussin can be taken days 9 through 15, and the baby asprin you take between days 7 until you get the next period. Studies have shown that women who are prone to miscarriages benefit from taking the baby asprin.

Good luck!

This is what I did for both kids. Go to www.babycenter.com
and then look for the ovulation calculator. You put in your information and it tells you the best days to "try" for another one. You may also want to watch your cervical fluid. I knew I was ovulating when mine got to the consistency of runny egg whites (when you wipe). If you start there it might help. If you can learn to predict when your gonna ovulate it helps. How hard was it for you to get pregnant with #1. Good luck.

Here I entered in the information for you

August 30th til September 4th are your fertility days

based on a 28 day cycle, but if your period usually comes every 30days you can recalculate

After your period check your mucus. (You can do this when you wipe in the bathroom). Use your thumb and fore finger to check its consistency. If it stretches between your fingers you are ovulating. If it is tacky and breaks easily you are not. You can also count back 14 days from your the first day of your period (if you're regular). I took an NFP class with my husband so I learned about temperature taking and cervical mucus.

Perhaps your best plan would be to buy one of the new tests on the market to tell when you are ovulating. That is when you get pregnant. Good luck!!!!

Women ovulate 12-14 days after the start of their last period so I would start trying all 11-15 days after. Mark it on the calender.

Barbara, when I had my kids - back in the dinosaur days of 1995 and 1999, when no one had really heard the term "cycle days" I simply went about it the old fashioned way. We continued to have sex frequently, and unprotected. I got pregnant 3 times on the 2nd month of trying just by having lots of unprotected sex. I didn't count days, I didn't look at mucous, track ovulation or any of those things. It is totally possible to simply get pregnant without any interventions. Good luck!

of course everyone is a little different..but whenever i have sex 8 days after my period starts... voila! I'm pregnant.

count 11 days from the first day of your last period and start doing the daily ovulation tests.... BEST WISHES!!!

OH Barbara,

How exciting to want to go for #2. Did you figure out yet where/how number 1 came from? I'd repeat that process to get #2! Before you know it, #2 will be on the way! So, repeat, repeat, repeat.

I have four biologicals and still haven't figured out how that happened, but I think those late night visits with my hubby had something to do with it! :)

On the same page as you... GOOD LUCK! My advice keep trying:)Takes a few months for the periods to get back on schedule... I got my period May 10(happy mothers' day to me!). I just started ovulation predictor kits to make sure i'm ovulating normal casue my period is every 40 + days... Hoping to get preggo with #2 really soon:)

in a 28 cycle, it would be 14 days from the 22, but some people are irregular or dont have 28 day cycles. everyne ovulates 14 days before their period, but again, any irregularities mess your numbers. if you want to guarantee when you ovulate order these cheap little ovulation test strips from http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/?gclid=CNSi642n_pQCFQVfFQodtiyhqA
just get the stick ones. you dip them in your morning urine, and when its positive, you will ovulate in the next 24 to 48 hours, so you can have sex that day, and then skip, then the next day(everyday would reduce sperm count).

i found out with the test, i didnt ovulate until day 22! that month!! if i hadnt taken the test, i would have been completely off. one test, one try, and boon, #2 was on the way. thse things were the best and so much cheaper than the ones in the store. good luck!!!!

I have 3 great boys ages 5 almost 6, 3 will be 4 in a couple weeks and 2. With my first the whole 14th day thing worked like clock work but with my second at first we tried on that 14th day thing and it didn't work, so after 2 months we tried on day 10th, 12th, 14th and 16th day and that month we got our 2nd. With the 3rd it was while we were away and not thinkig if it was time or not just our little special suvineer (sp?) I guess. Good luck! and relax!

Hi! It all depends on when you ovulate. it could be anywhere between 11-14 or 15 days after your period. To be sure you could get the ovulation predicter sticks and kits since everyone is different. Usually on a 28 day cycle it would be 14 days but sometimes it could be earlier or later. I think I used clear blue easy. There are many kinds, some simple some more elaborate where you would have to place the stick into a small "machine" after you urinate. This will monitar your ovulation. You might need to try a few months so themachine can get a better understanding of your cycle. Good luck!!!! Isabel

All I can say is I can RELATE. I also have a 10 month old baby girl and am also thinking about number two. Got my cycle July 19th... LOL!

Best wishes to you. -Natalie

Taking Charge of Your Fertility! This is a book by Toni Weschler that teaches all about charting your cycle (almost NO ONE actually has a 28 day cycle every month), keeping track of fertility signs, etc. I used this method and got pregnant on the very first try. Another woman wrote about watching your cervical fluid and she's right on the money-- if you want to try for this month without doing all the other tracking, just check every day (or even better in the morning and at night) and as the fluid becomes more wet and slippery and stretchy (egg white consistency is what you're ultimately looking for) you know you're in your fertile phase.

Hi Barbara,
It sounds like you'd like to conceive again. I was always told that you can get pregnant from the 10th to 17th day after your period. If your period was July 22 then you should try to conceive starting August 1 to the 7th. I always went from the 7th to the 20th day in my calculations. It worked three times. I hope this has helped. Good luck.
Debbie

Begin having sex on the 11th day of your cycle. :)
