My Daughter's Throat-clearing Is Driving Me Batty!
My 7 year old daughter has this annoying tickle in her throat that she attempts to cure by clearing her throat (very gently) or doing a little cough. The problem is that she does this and her throat becomes irritated and she clears/coughs more! I give her Zyrtec for seasonal allergies, but it doesn't help this problem. I tried Sudafed (a pharmacist suggested it), but she became overly emotional and then fell asleep from 5 p.m. until breakfast! UGH. We do the saline nasal spray occasionally, too. Any suggestions?
