Questions About Breast Pumps

I have a lot of questions about breat pumps. I will have to return to work about 6 weeks after having my baby so I will need to pump my breastmilk. I have heard that the Medela and Ameda pumps are good. Also heard that the Lasinoh is comparible to the Ameda. Any thoughts? Do most pumps come in standard sizes so any bottle can attach to it? Also anybody know how often I will need to pump? Obviously, there's a lot I don't know about pumping!

Baby Supplies - What Saved You Money and Time

i know this question was asked not long ago and was somewhat different. I am going to my SIL baby shower in November and I am wondering what would save her the most time and money? What would she not be able to live without? What did you get at your baby shower that was the OMG gift? I am not sure what my budget is yet. This is her first and the first grandchild on bfs side.

Breast Milk Not Coming Out

Hi, I am the mother of a 5 week old infant and we are having some difficulties with breastfeeding. I have noticed that the milk streams from both breasts are difficult to push out and they fizzle out right away if something does come out. What could be the reason for this? It's come down to the fact that I have to give my infant formula instead as nothing is coming out for him when he sucks. If I pump (I have an electric pump) I've noticed that I now how to put it on the highest level in order to get the milk streams to come out, anything...

Looking for More Info on the DPA Baby Bottle Recall

Has anyone heard about the baby bottle recall? My father called and said that he had just seen the end of a segment on the news about baby bottles being recalled because of high levels of DPA. He didn't know the brand or any other information. I searched all of the news websites and couldn't find anything... We use Dr Browns Bottles. Please let me know if you have heard anything or have anymore information on this recall.

Need Advice About Breast Pumps

Hi. This is my first pregnancy and I am looking for some advice about breast pumps. I am already at home, and will remain at home once I have our son. I plan to breastfeed only. So, the use/need for a breast pump is only for 2 reasons. 1) to have a small "stock" in the freezer and 2) so my husband and I can go out occasionally.
