Early Potty Training

I have a 16 month old son that continiously keeps getting yeast infections in the diaper area. After 6 months of struggling with this, the doctors just tell me that this nightmare is not going to be over until he's out of diapers. I want to start potty training buy I don't even know where to start. I have read previous postings on this web site but it seems like a lot of information and I don't know what method to follow. When I research online I get a million answers too. Should I start by buying a potty or a training seat for the toilet?...

Potty Training Question

My daughter just turned 3 and finally decided she is ready to use the big girl potty. She is doing great and has been wearing big girl underwear with the exception of naps and night-time. I do have a question as whenever she does go potty, her urine gets everywhere. It seems like it shoots straight forward and gets all over the potty seat and toilet. I've tried having her lean over more, etc but we are still having problems. I was just curious if this was normal or is there something wrong down there? I have potty-trained another girl...
