What Are Standard Requests from a Grandparent??
I have a strained relationship with my mother-in-law and when we found out we were pregnant I did my best to put that aside and include her. I don't know what she expects but tonight I was told that it was disrectful and hurtful to ask for a quite alone hour with my husband and newborn so I could take a quick nap to recoup after she was born and than they could return (I figured they could get a bite to eat or something and didn't thank it was too much to ask, we were very polite when asking).
