7 Week Old Miserable, Not Tolerating Formula... Any Thoughts?

My baby is almost 8 weeks old, she was born 5 weeks early. She is formula fed (I was unable to breastfeed). Started on similac, then went to similac sensitive because she was so grunty and gassy all the time. this past week she has been very cranky, crying almost all the time that she's awake:(. and she's spitting up more, the chunky throw up kind. she's sleeping a real lot and that worries me too, but at least she's not miserable in her sleep. yesterday the dr switched her to alimentun. now she's throwing up even more, but its clearer...

Help! Screaming Baby! What to Eat When Nursing?

I'm dyin' here! My six-week-old is on Zantac for reflux, but she still cries...and cries and cries. For up to an hour and a half (usually right after I feed her.) I'm nursing exclusively - no formula. I give her Mylicon for gas, Maalox for indigestion. Nothing seems to be working. I can hear her little tummy creaking and groaning and can actually feel it when I'm holding her. I'm afraid to let her "cry it out" in her crib because it seems to hurt her worse when she's lying flat. People have told me what not to eat while I'm...

Infant with Reflux

I have a almost 5 month old baby boy with reflux. He was born 13 weeks early. The doctor has him on previcid and it has not seemed to work. We have him on the Similic Advance formula. He does ok the first half of his feed, then the rest of his feed he will fight eating. Sometimes after he burps it gets better. He spits up after almost every feed. He is gaining weight. I was wondering if anyone else has had these problems and what worked for you. I am thinking of calling the doctor and putting him on a different formula. He also will cry...

If I'm Sick Can I Get Baby Sick??

I woke up this morning with a terrible sore throat. It hurts to swallow and talk. I dont have a fever or anything but I'm deathly afraid of getting my 5 mo old sick! Am I allowed to take antibiotics if I'm breastfeeding? I have a dr appt at 3 but until then I'm afraid to get too close to my baby. He seems sad that I'm not interacting with him much today but I'm not sure what might get him sick. :(
