New Diagnosis of Austism - What Now?
My son was just diagnosed with Austism by a local pediatric psychiatrist. He is age five. Before now, he has had the diagnosis of either mental retardation, developmental delay, epilepsy (because of seizures...) He showed signs of delay since he was an infant. He was in ECI until 3 yrs., now goes to a PPCD program, spec. ed class at school, and has speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy (barely any hours with the public schools- they don't supply much therapy).
