Tulip Tree Preschool is a nurturing and stimulating home space dedicated to the learning and exploring of young children ages 3-5. We believe that children learn most effectively and holistically in an environment where they feel loved and seen, where they can explore many different mediums of expression, and where they feel safe. We believe that children are hungry to discover their world, and have a natural creative intuition that allows them to delight in new and unexpected ideas.
Children at Tulip Tree explore their world through play, all kinds of art, physicality, observation of the natural world, gardening, and celebration. Children are gently guided through a spiral of understanding and social development using an inquiry-based approach.
We strongly believe in balance. Children are provided with ample time for free play, during which they are encouraged to investigate their own ideas and skills. Tulip Tree also allows for time in which children are exposed to the ideas and wisdom of other classmates and their teachers.
Within the space of Tulip Tree, children are encouraged to be free thinkers, and also to be conscious of their community and their personal impact. Teachers are committed to having thoughtful, compassionate, and honest relationships with children and families, and strive to exist in a welcoming and nurturing environment.

I have to say that Sarah-Lu is one of the most lit up, positive people that I know!!! For the brief time that she taught my son, it was always such a delight for us to see her face each morning. She is so present, understanding, and respectful with children. It is amazing to watch. Thanks for opening up a school Sarah-Lu.....our community will be a better place because of it.
