We are opening a new center on 86th Street, between Hickman and Douglas in Urbandale. Our opening date will be March 15th, 2010. This center is unlike any other. We offer the following wonderful amenities:
Our center is partially parent owned. We offer a parent advisory council which meets every 6 months to discuss how we want our children to be cared for. Each parent who is on the board has ownership in the company and a say in how things are run. We currently have 10 parent board members and 6 more will be able to join before our board will be full. Please let us know when you interview if you are interested in finding out about parent ownership in our center.
Hours from 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM
Thoroughly screened staff including drug screening, additional background checks and physicals.
We accept all types of assistance including State, NACCRA and Promise Jobs
Teachers and Students program with summers and breaks fee free.
Our baby food is made from scratch and is from organic produce whenever possible.
Supplies provided to include diapers, wipes, Pull-ups, baby food and formula.
Discount for Monthly payments and early pickups. If you pay by the month your rate is reduced by $10 per week. If you have less than 8 hours in care per day, we offer an additional discount.
Your 2 week deposit will hold a slot for up to 8 months, so mommies to be can plan ahead.
All of our 2 and up classrooms include a full preschool program which incorporates Montessori and Traditional teaching methods. We also offer dance and martial arts lessons, tumbling and more for a well rounded curriculum.
The teachers in our preschool program have degrees in the education field, either early childhood education or a teaching degree. Our preschool program runs with the Urbandale School schedule, and we offer a summer program in 2 week camps.
We welcome breast milk and have a nursing mother’s lounge for moms to come over lunch and be with their child in privacy and quiet.
We have an LPN on staff, a doctor on call and we are a nut free facility. In addition, we are gluten free as much as possible.
We offer a dietary program for children with weight issues, vegetarian families and families with religious restrictions on their diet.
We offer curbside drop-off for parents running late and busy dads. There’s curbside pick-up too!

Our building is currently under construction. We will have tours available as of 2/24. Please call 515-864-6617 or 515-223-5439 to schedule your visit. Evening and weekend visits are no problem.
