I placed an order for CD cases on Etsy on 10/11/12 with A Modern Studio, the name of the store Cindy Portillo owns. Cindy was prompt with emails up until the point I paid for my order. Seems like this is a pattern with her since the other low review here says the same thing happened to her for her wedding with Cindy.
Once November rolled around (her store's policy was to deliver goods within 3-4 weeks), I began messaging her on Etsy multiple times to check in on how the order was going. Once on November 18th. No response. Again on November 25th. No response.
KEEP IN MIND that I ordered these CDs in October in order to get them before Christmas (which was when I was needing to use them by).
I then had to find her somewhere else through internet digging since I couldn't get ahold of her through Etsy. I finally found her photo blog and saw she was continually updating her blog through all the times I sent messages trying to contact her.
I emailed her through the blog email and FINALLY got a response. She apologized, blaming running out of fabric and two workers she uses (that seemed fictitious) for not contacting me.
She then promised to double my order at no extra cost for the inconvenience. I responded, "I understand."
Fast forward to December 5th. No CDs, so I email her again, asking where they are. She says she'll send some out today to make my deadline of Christmas.
Dec. 10th, still no CDs. Email her again, she says they are going to take 5-7 business days (big surprise she opts for slowest shipping speed when she's at fault for being behind on shipping.
Dec. 23rd. She now claims shipment was lost in mail. It's now PAST MY DEADLINE.
Received 17 cases finally on January 2nd 2013 and I asked her when the other 23 would come in. She replied, stating she would ship them out Friday, January 4th. I've not received anything and have contacted her multiple times afterwards with no response. It's now Feb 13th,just started a dispute on Paypal.
Cindy is the nicest photographer I've ever worked with EVER! She has patience with kids and super great fun ideas to get the perfect shot... which she tends to do quite often! I will always use Cindy! Thanks!
