I belong to the Joliet YMCA, and we didn't have to sign a contract at all. I think that's a common policy for the Y. Ours had a no joiners fee deal in February, but I don't know about the Naperville one.

They had no joiner fee in January. There is no term contract to sign.

The Heritage Y (I assume that's the one you're talking about) has no joiner fee in January. I don't remember if I had to sign a one year contract. I've been a member for a while so that's a long time ago.
