Yet Another Christmas Question :)

I am having the hardest time putting together a Christmas list for my DD. She just turned 14 months. She has every toy imaginable.
When I look online at like parenting magazines top picks for her age range this year, she has them all.
Recently she has gotten into pushing her stroller instead of being in it so we have bought her a stroller but that was the only thing I could think of. Lol.
All of our extended family has been buggin me for weeks now to put a list together for the kids. My son (5) is easy. He plays the drums, so he's getting a drum set. He needs a new bike. Etc...
Anywho, any suggestions? What are you getting your little one around the same age?
Thank you

Honestly, you don't need to go crazy for kids this age. They just don't care. WE do :) I would pick a few things that you think she'll love, or that would be a great learning toy and let her play with the boxes and wrapping paper from everyone elses's presents.

Ask others for gift cards to places you like to buy their clothing. Open a 529 Plan for each child and let your relatives know! Ask for books. You can never have enough books!

As for your daughter--get her a new baby doll for her stroller and some clothes for the doll? Play food and toy kitchen?

How about diapers and wipes from the fam? Babies don't care, and you could always use more diapers, right??

do you have a 529 B set up for her? i'd ask for contributions to that from the family members. Or some new books or clothes.

How about some board books or a soft hand puppet? These gifts will be perfect now, and later. (Many beginning readers love to go back and read the board books they heard read to them as a baby.)

No matter what the age, I always have Art Supplies in the back of my mind. Even the garage sale 'dot' stickers are fun for little ones.

Shakers (to accompany the drum set) and some little instruments are fun.

I was thinking a purse like Mommy's with play cell phone and keys. But she might already have that, huh. I love Crayola TaDoodles - large cute shapes w/ Crayons or markers inside. They come in a rolling car storage tray.

What about the little shopping cart?

Maybe a little toy that you turn on & it's a learning tool.
I forget the popular brand name of the company that makes them but they
are Wal-Mart.

- Some kind of ride-on toy? My son got a Lightening McQueen one for his first birthday and at 3.5 we JUST put it in the attic because his knees scrape the floor when he rides it.
- Grow-with-me style tricycle.
- Cozy Coupe car
- Musical instruments
- Books
- Membership to your local children's museum?

Is there a large item that the family could all go in on together? For my son's 1st birthday, everyone chipped in and got some outdoor play equipment for him and a big-boy car seat. Just a thought!

Sounds like your children have more than enough "things". I would ditto the 529 acount or savings account. They will blow through the toys quickly, but be forever grateful for any money they can have for their college education.

A play kitchen is a great gift and something that will last a long time. You son will probably like it, too.

Check out my Discovery Toys page for some great gifts: http://www.discoverytoyslink.com/karenchao My favorites are:
Roll & Play
Giant Pegboard
Caterpillar Shape Sorter
My children (4 years and 12 months) like them, too.

There are some great things for your son, too!
