I just got a Fisher Price Smart Cycle for my 3 year and 18 month old boys. It is a bike/motorcycle that you connect to the TV and they peddle to catch the correct letters and do math. It can also just be a game.
Good Luck!

hey! any good xmas gift ideas for a 3 1/2 and 20 month old girls? i almost hate buying gifts that only the 20 month would benefit from...since she has so many toys from her older sister. any ideas that they could both enjoy?

A zoo membership is the BEST!!! The whole family can go allyear long. Or the children's museum. We got one to the zoo once and whenever my little one was stir crazy and needed to go somewhere and I was short on cash off to the zoo we went. And there's always something new to see, especially the new animal babies.

my son is 27 months and my daughter is 3 months. I am going to get them the brightstarts entertainer. I have read a lot of good reviews and it will help keep the baby busy and upright to play while I cook dinner, etc. You can take the seat off when baby starts walking and then it is just a toddler table.

I would say a pop up tent is a good idea too. My 7 and 2 year olds love theirs and i'm sure the baby will too as soon as she is big enought to crawl in!
If you don't have the Fisher Price Laugh N Learn Learning Home, then I would say that is a good gift for both of them. It has lots of things to do on it and is good for them both to play with together. Here is a link to the product: http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2341&e=detail&.... It says up to 36 months, but when people recommended this toy to me, they said their 3-5 year old still played with it all the time.
How about some sort of learning piano?

This one looks like a great one. I know it says 3 and up, but I'm sure a 20 month old wouldn't mind plunking the keys!
Have fun searching!
Hi,
How about the gift of music, their very own personalized music CD's.
Go to www.kiddosdelight.com and check out the selection.

I bet they would both enjoy a play kitchen or some kind of play house.
A tent - definately! My kids are 4 and 2 and they have a tent and a crawl through tunnel. These are the best things to get them to play together. You don't have to pretend to have fun in the tent so my younger one loves being in there with her brother while he makes up all sorts of games, even if she doesn't really understand all of it!

Do you have a little kitchen? My daughter, now 4, got one about 3 years ago, and she still loves it!! Now, my son who is 2, also loves to play with it. They spend many hours cooking and shopping (with their little tykes shopping cart). We have a basket of play food, dishes, and even a tea set. Guaranteed to last years and consume hours! Merry Christmas!
Play kitchen is a great idea, my boys play with their sister in hers all the time! They had a plastic one before she came along, and we were given a nice wooden one last year. Theres so much to go WITH it too!
legos are always a fun open ended gift too, my boys have two boxes of the big duplo legos. It's a big favorite with everyone here.
My daughter is really into horses and one of her favorite toys lately is a barn (we have the melissa & doug fold n go) and a box of horses!
My daughter is 2, by the way :)
my daghter is 21 mos.and i'm planning on a dora kitchen that talks and an aquadoodle(even thiugh they are 3 and up) she loves to color but everything else is messy
I am getting my 20 month old some crayons/coloring book and teletubbies video... that's what she asked for this year.

I wanted to second the recommendation for the Laugh and Learn house. We bought it for our first son's 1 yr Birthday and its still going strong after 3 years and two kids. Its always a hit with kids that visit us as well.
I would say anything that enables them to pretend play is a great idea. We usually stock up on buying new costumes during Halloweeen and give them as a few presents.
My kids are the same age. We want to get them one big gift (each or together), rather than a bunch of little toys (since we know everone else will be doing that). We're thinking about a kitchen, a train table, or a ride-on remote control car. Most of these they would share.
