I have a six year old son who is not circumsize. I'm worried because when he was a baby the doctor pulled it back for me. But now it that I work long hours my mother would bathe my son for me. She did not continue pull it back like I use to.
Now it's hard to pull back. What should I do?

My son is not circumsized either. Since you are bathing him and keeping him clean. He probably will be fine. I don't remember pulling my son's forskin back on a consistent basis. He is now 19 and I have not heard any complaints from him. Best to discuss this with his doctor.

my son also experienced this not to worry as he grows it takes care of itself just carefully wash, my son is 16 now and never had any problems.
He is old enough to do that himself. My son who is multiply handicapped (also un circumcised)was washing himself by the time he was 6. He IS capable.
Ask your pediatrician for advice but dont worry about it. For millions of years there have been uncircumcised men and they were OK,
Ouch! Don't pull it back. You just "swish, swish" in the water like my ped. told me. My son's 10, and we never had a problem. I don't understand the misconceptions people have. They aren't even sexually active yet, which is when they should pull it back to clean it.
I too had the same problem... my son was young and the dr. showed me how to pull the skin back.. but it was difficult since the skin seemed to be tight all the time. He never got infections.. but by the time he was about 5 or 6 he wouldn't let me pull the skin back and he refused to do it to himself.. so i brought him to dr. at age 7... and the dr. talked to him. my son told the dr. straight out that it hurt to pull it back and he wouldn't do it.. the dr. informed me that it would only get tighter..and at this point i should think of circumsizing him. We did the surgery at 8... do it sooner if you can. it was a hard surgery.. but after a few days he was much better. We went to Dr. Ring in Westfield.. he is great with kids.. not so good with talking to adults.. if you want any info.. email me.. ____@____.com I would do it again in a heartbeat only when he was younger. my son came from Korea and they don't do this in that country.
either teach your mom how to clean his privates the proper way or really consider on getting him circumsized. dont wait to much longer it will be more painful for him if you wait any longer. look into it.
