So my job is a contract job. I do customer support for a company that is contracted through the people who pay me.. got that?
anyways I love what I do. It was a job that up until I will say beginning of may I loved going to. Since may I have been the only representitive IN THE US. ok not one state the us. this has put a lot of preasure on me. then to top it all my supervisor has started what I feel harrasing me. She has threatened to write me up twice now for things like reading a book when I have nothing to do. Tickets are caught up no calls yada yada yada. First time I ended up appoligizing just to break the tension at work. NOT THIS TIME! This has gone far enough.
So now tomorrow I have my 1 day a month off and I am going to go see if the nursing home needs help. For moms in Iowa (because I know every state is different.) I took my CNA classes in 2009. Can I still take my boards, or do I need to take the class again? Please say no classes because they are expensive and I still have the book so I can study.
I need another job and nursing is what I wanted to do before I got pregnant. With the baby the boards just kept getting pushed off.
Please if you have encouraging words or advice on Iowa boards let me know.
I am miserable. To bad the company could not pay me from home because my job is amazing. The company I work for though well lets save that for when I get a different job.

What can I do next?

She is asking if she needs to re take the classes to be a nurse. She took them in 2009 but never took the final boards to get the certification. She wants to know if she waited to long in between.

She loves her job now, but it is too stressful and cannot do it from home. Also, she has always wanted to be in nursing therefore needs to know if she needs more classes.

Sorry I dont have any advice for you, but if nursing is what you want to do and be then do it! When you go to the nursing home ask they might know or might be able to find you someone who does.

Good luck!

You most likely make more now than what you would as a CNA. You will make about $10-12 as a CNA....maybe .....some make less.

I don't know your situation, but try calling or looking up your states licensing agency and finding out exactly wha tyou need to do. In the meantime, see if you can get FAFSA if you want to go back to school in the future. I get how hard it can be with kids. I have 3 young ones, work full time and go to school full time. However, you can do it! Let your kids be your motivation! As far as your current job, if you were reading while on the clock, yeah, that could tick a boss off. Try asking her when you are slow if there is anything else she would like you to do!

I do not understand your question. Could you reword it? I think you are saying you love the job you have, you were given extra work so it is stressful and then someone is picking on you. I don't understand why you apologized? Were you reading a book? So now, to get the jist of this, it looks like you took a job after or somewhere when you were about to have a baby, you loved it til May, and they pick on you. But you have almost the ability to get a nursing certification? So do you want us to encourage you to do that? don't know about Iowa boards but good luck in your endeavors.

I'd ask when you're at the nursing home, they should know what's what!
