Wking Mom Seeking Childcare Options for Tuesdays in Keller/Southlake Area

I am a full-time working mom and currently have in-home care for my 2 yr old twins at this time which is split between two different nannies - both of which we love. However one nanny is beginning a college program in January and it will leave me with a gap on Tuesdays for childcare. I have a stop-gap solution for now with another mom who is filling in for me, but she lives in Crowley and it is quite a distance from both my home and work so it is not ideal for the long term. I'm working in Arlington near 1-20 and 360. Wondering if anyone knew of any good options that I might have in the Keller/Southlake area (or anywhere inbetween home and work) for childcare - for just one day a week? I'd consider a daycare/preschool program, a part-time nanny or sitter, an in-home care situation...if the conditions and circumstances were a good match for my twins. I know one day a week is sort of an odd request. I've found most preschools that do part-time are 2 day a week programs, and that many of the mother's day out programs are not full days. (i.e. 9-2). Does anyone have any recommendations or references? Thanks for your input!

Hi

My name is J. and I live in Keller. I am a stay home mom for the last 3 years. I have 2 kids in school during the day and one 5 year boy that is home with me.
I live off Golden traingle and Alta Vista. I would have no problems keeping your boys for you. It would give my son someone to play with. Currently he plays with the little boy down the street that is home every other day that turned 3 on Xmas day, so he knows how to play around younger kids.
We do have a dog, but she is very old and stays either in her crate or in the back yard. But she loves kids and doesn't mind them crawling all over her still. I also have a cat and he loves kids, is declawed and very loving. my cell number is ###-###-####.
Thanks so much for your time.

G.,
Playtime drop in child care sounds like it could be a good solution for you. There is a location at Rufe Snow & 1709, as well as N. Beach & North Tarrant area, closer to I-35. They feed the kids great litlle meals for minimal extra cost, you can drop them in as you need to, and they are really run by some great people. They do crafts & constructive play, etc. The people there aren't just teen-agers working part time & putting up w/ your kids. All I've seen, at least at the Rufe Snow location is caring, mature ladies who really enjoy working w/ kids.
Check them out at http://www.playtimehourlychildcare.com/

Good luck!

I live sorta near you (Western Center and I35 area) and I have a 3 1/2 little girl (will be 4 in Feb). I am a stay at home mom while my hubby works his tail off so that I can do that. We are at times a bit short for money and snice I stay at home w/ her I cant get a "real job" persay and still spend time with her. I could maybe do in-home sitting for your little ones if my daughter is able to come as well. She would love this b/c she is an only child and really has not many friends. She may be attending school if we get a good evulation from the developmental center and Im not sure sure what days or hours the class is...I can check and see if it works for me to be able to come on Tues....let me know if ya need me. Thanks...C.

Call Dora's Loving Care, it is off of Park Row & 360, probably on your way to work, less than 1 mile west on Park Row. I used them before my 6-year-old started kindergarten, and a friend with an 18-month old uses them now, and has an odd schedule. They work with her on hours/pricing. Call them at ###-###-####

G.,
I was in that situation of trying to find childcare/preschool for only 2 days a week and it was so hard..but I did find Children's Courtyard in keller off Rufe Snow and Shady Grove, just south of the Keller Pointe. It was great and they did do part-time. I live in Hidden Lakes in Keller and will try and remember some other options I ran across if I can think of any...I know Keller Montessori in the old downtown Keller has extended hours, you could check w/them, too. Good luck with your search, I know it is frustrating!
