I am a single mother to a beautiful 9 month old baby girl. I cannot make it do the gym due to my work schedule and here sleep schedule. I greatly miss working out, and have thought about purchasing a Wii to utilize with the Wii fit package. My thought is that I can use it once I put her to sleep at night. I am wondering if anyone else has utilized this for their exercise and if it is worth the money. I really need to get back on the wagon, and I thought that this might be able to help.
Thanks.

I got Wii Fit for my birthday in November. It's a lot of fun and it IS a good way to workout when it's convenient for you. There are also other Wii fitness games, not just Wii Fit. My friend like the Biggest Loser (?) O. the best.
My problem is remembering that I have to actually turn it on and DO it! :-)
It you are motivated and disciplined, it might be a good idea. But if you already have a VCR or DVD player, then so would any of the workouts available! The Wii Fit does weigh you and keep a chart of your loss but if you don;t want to spend the money just buy/rent some DVDs and see how that goes for you.

I have the Wii Fit Plus & I love it! Though I am guilty of not sticking with it long enough... lol But when I did it for about 2 months it was great! It's fun too, so it's not all just boring exercises.

Plus, when your daughter gets older, she will enjoy playing it too! My daughter is 4 & while she isn't much into getting on the balance board herself, she will stand near me & try to copy the yoga & strength training poses with me! hehe

So now I need to finish cleaning up our living room so I can get back to Wii Fit too...... haha

Love my Wii Fit as I am a diehard couch potato, and it feels like play. My only problem is that my twins love to get on the board with me which messes up the whole thing. After they go to bed I am too tired. We usually play a game and one of us distracts the girls while the other one takes their turn.

I love the Wii fit! Its very convient and you can do so much stuff on it! I bought a 5 pound medicine ball that i use with a few of the different exercises on there. Plus it is also fun just to use for family fun! My kids are alot older than yours but they do alot of the balance exercises, and they love the hula hoop! We do it alot when friends come over or family just for some laughs!

We have the Wii, the Wii Fit and Wii Active. I loved the Wii Fit until I got the Wii Active. With the Wii Active, you don't have to unlock workouts, you can customize your own workout or use the many they have already set up. You can do a 30-Day Challange...I just loved that! It made me get on it and workout! And I think they have an Active Plus game now with more workouts. I haven't tried that one yet.

Good luck!

I have both Wii Fit and Wii Active. I love them both. Wii Fit focuses a lot on your core, balance and strength. Active gets your heart pumping. I feel like you could get great workouts using only one or the other, but I REALLY like them together. If you put the time into it, you WILL get a fantastic workout with Wii.
