I know this sounds strange but I just had stainless appliances delivered a couple of weeks ago and I asked the delivery man, who seemed very knowledgeable about them, about keeping them clean. He said to wipe the stainless portions down with WD-40 and it will help to deter the finger printing and keep them clean. It works! Who would have guessed!!
The odor is strong at first but it goes away quickly.
Good luck!

Windex and a clean cloth or paper towel should do the trick. If you only wipe in one direction you shouldn't have any marks when it's totally dry.

We have a commercial cleaning service in Sedona.
We use Simple Green Stainless Steel spray-- it works great and it is also non-toxic. :0)

The people at home depot said to use WD40 cause it's cheap and fast. Just spray, wipe and your done. All the little finger prints disappear. Good Luck!

As crazy as it sound I use pledge (thats right the wood cleaner) w/ a micro fiber cloth. Spray the pedge on the cloth and wipe away, it actua;;y helps from getting dirty. We actually learned this trick from the people who installed our appliances and I have used it ever since.

I use a damp rag to get off anything more than finger prints and then follow with the stainless appliance cleaner/polish from Sears. It does a nice job. I've also used the Costco stainless spray cleaner and it works well but it has a strong odor.

Hello T.,

I own a cleaning service and I'll tell you what I use for cleaning stainless steel: Soygreen Stainless Steel Cleaner. It is soy based so it is not toxic and it is environmental friendly. You may buy it at Shamrock Janitorial Supplies in Albuquerque. While you are there buy a microfiber cloth and use it to clean your stainless steel only. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

i have heard spraying pledge on an old cotton tshirt (cut and used for rags) and wiping it not only cleans but helps prevent little fingertip marks.

i am into natural products and i use olive oil on the old tshirt and wipe it with it. (make sure if there's cake frosting on the door to wipe it out with a damp handywipe first though)

Use wood funiture cleaner... I am always cleaning and amazed at what cleans best!! My stainless steel looks beautiful always because I use wood funiture cleaner. I use to spend tons of money on Stainless Steel cleaner, however they do not work as well as Wood Funiture Cleaner, you'll love it!
Good Luck!

Try a little bit of WD-40. When my stainless steel appliances were installed, the guy who installed them said clean with a damp cloth, and every once and a while put some WD-40 on a soft cloth and rub with the grain. Rub it in and wipe it off. It looks as good as new!
