Who Is Using Cloth Diapers?

I want to consider using cloth diapers but would like to "see them in action" before deciding. I am looking for any moms in the east cobb area who use cloth diapers and would be willing to let me see how they work.

What can I do next?

I am. For my first child I used cloth exclusively, now with my second it usually ends up being just a nighttime thing because I have run out of time and don't want to carry one more bag with me to keep the diapers in when we are out. There are MANY kinds of cloth diapers, I am a big fan of the Fuzzi Bunz type. It was very rare that I would get leaks with these diapers, and the are so soft, both my kids love them and my 1 year old will actually ask for them. I also love that they have snaps for closing because it makes changing a rolling baby easier and the kids don't have that fun "velcro" sound when they try to take them off. I live in Woodstock (near Roswell) you probably want to find someone closer to "see them in action" but feel free to contact me if you want any more info.

My son just turned one and we have been using cloth diapers for about 4 months. I actually love using them. We use a brand called Rainforest babies. They have snap in soakers with a snap on shell. We live in Smyrna/Mableton which is farther south probably than you would like but would be willing to talk with you about them. Whenever I have my next child, we plan on using cloth from the beginning. That's not to say we don't keep some disposables around for emergencies, like the dryer is still running and he needs to be changed. I think its worth a shot. Good luck.

I am 52 and my son is 25. Enviromentally, we need to go back to the old days if possible. Don't even know if you can buy them anymore. But enviromentally they are causing a extreme about of pollution. In fact one of the top if not top pollutants. It is really not all that bad considering that babies mostly urinate anyway. I have even heard of mom now days that are going diaperless, amagen that! Personally, glad you are asking that question. Enviromentally, I vote for cloth and wish more would do the same. Use the pampers for convenience on occasion! I live in West Cobb!

Hi J.,

We have a 9 month old and use Fuzzi Bunz. I have also heard good things about Bum Genius. We love them. I live just a mile or two south of perimeter mall on ashford dunwoody if you'd like to ever stop by. We use disposables when we travel and I can't stand them. I'm also a working mom and haven't found it unbearable to keep up with the cleaning of them. We ordered 18 of them. Hope that helps...
