It's a great recipe. I used it for my mother-in-law's wedding cake and got RAVE reviews!

Hope it turns out!

Use a buttercream frosting recipe but instead of adding milk, add whipped cream. I like using butter-cream frosting + creamy cool whip works well too.

I was helping my neice make a very huge cake for her daughter's Christening. Long story short she really wanted whipped cream frosting. We tried making it, but it was a total mess. That is when we learned that Jewel or Dominicks will sell you whip cream frosting by the pound.I think it was 3.99 lb.

Hope this helps. Be sure to refrigerate the cake, especially in hot weather.

Heavy whipping cream 1 large container, I think it's pint size
2 tbsb powdered sugar
1 pk vanilla or french vanilla instant pudding

start whipping the cream, when it starts to get thicker add sugar and pudding and keep mixing until you get the consistency that you want. if too thick add little milk

I use this on all my cakes, even in hot weather and it can last longer then just whip cream and it tastes awesome. I tried the whip cream + gelatin recipe but it didn't work for me, this always works....

I am not sure if you would want a recipe with Cool Whip in it, but everyone loves this frosting. It's very simple.

Cool Whip Frosting
1 pkg. 3.4 oz. instant vanilla pudding
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup cold milk
1 8 oz. container Cool Whip

Combine pudding, powdered sugar & milk in bowl. (Use very large bowl because this will splash). Beat slowly at lowest speed of mixer until well blended (about 1 minute). Fold in Cool Whip. Refrigerate frosting for several hours until firm. Store frosted cake in refrigerator.
