Hi Mamas! I'm trying to plan a little family get-away for next month, just a waterpark trip. It's been a long, cold winter and we are ready for some fun in the sun! Even if it is just indoor lighting! :) Does matter where it is, we have no problem driving a little further if it means we are gonna have more fun! There are just SO many resorts to pick from! Key Lime Cove, Kalahari, Wilderness, Timber Ridge AHHHHH my head is spinning!! Does your family go to one that you just LOVE?? Any advice is greatly appreciated! I have two very energetic boys, ages 4 and 7. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

What can I do next?

Schliterbahn in New Braunfels Texas. Best in the world! They have locations in Dallas, Galveston, and South Padre Island as well. If you're in Texas, it's a must, the original partially uses the water from the river. It's leaps and bounds beyond other water parks!

Great Wolf Lodge is excellent! We use the one in Kansas City.

We have been to Key Lime Cove, Kalahari and the Wilderness. They are all a bit different and it depends on what you are looking for. Key Lime Cove is very bright and has a great "island" theme and the rooms are very nice as well. The waterpark is large and there are lots of activities going on around the hotel. It is also close by for you being in IL. The Kalahari also has a nice waterpark but they also have a very large game/activity area with a high ropes course, go karts, laser tag, lots to do check it out on-line. The Wilderness is also nice and they have more than one indoor waterpark to go to so you can get a change of scenery but the waterparks are pretty similar. I would suggest going to Key Lime Cove in the winter and then going to the Dells in the summer when you can enjoy the outdoor waterparks as well. Once you bring the kids to a waterpark they will be begging to go again!

a suggestion of mine would be Indiana Beach. Have to support my hometown. its an amusement park with a water park. they have a camping area too. feel free to look it up at www.indianabeach.com I loved it growing up. i enjoy it somewhat now, though as a larger person i don't ride many rides while there. Have fun!

I have only been to the wilderness but I keep going back for many reasons. We always have a great time. There are multiple pools to choose from and a great indoor dry play area. We also stay in a condo so we can cut costs on meals. I feel that it is less expensive then the other places you listed even for a suite. Have fun!
