I want to subscribe to another children based magazine. I've had Parents and liked it. But I read a Parenting at the Dr's office. Does anyone have a preference or opinion about either one by comparison?

I don't know if they've changed, because it has been a few years since I have read these. But I found Parents and Parenting to be virtually identical. They both have very good but very basic information. If you are the kind of person who reads a lot of parenting books and is fairly well-informed, you may find them repetitive. But if you haven't been around babies or little kids much in your life and you're learning everything for the first time, either one would be helpful. (I preferred Child magazine myself.)
Good luck!

They are similar but I get them both and enjoy them just the same. If you're not concerned about price I would say get both, let the subscriptions over lap, then only continue the one you like most. You may decide you like them both too.
That's a hard one but I prefer Parents. I know that CHILD is being discontinued and all subscribers are getting Parents for the remainder of there subscriptions. I'm hoping it doesn't change, I love getting my Parents in the mail every month. Very informative, I like the sections for just mom and just dads.
Hope this helps.
I have both and they are equally wonderful in my opinion. If it is cost that is the issue, buy the subscriptions on Ebay, they are SUPER cheap. I bought mine back in 2003 and am still getting monthly issues. I think I paid $5.00 for a 4 year subscription.
