I was looking on some feedback on covers or wraps from those who have used (or currently use) cloth diapers; could you tell me:
-- which wraps/covers worked best during the day?
-- which wraps/covers worked best at night?
-- which wraps/covers to stay away from as they did not work well at day or night?
We are currently using the Gerber's panty covers but I am wondering if there is something out there that works better.... they generally don't leak unless my son pees a lot :)
Thanks,
T.
I use a wool cover at night (wool interlock from www.loveybums.com) and Bummis super whisper wrap during the day (I think from www.cottonbabies.com) I have a wool jersey cover for day too but it's bulky so I only use it under a dress. I also have some pocket diapers from www.diaperware.com . I like the wool at night because it allows airflow and the smell in the morning isn't as bad as it is with the PUL covers.
I just ordered some Dappi nylon covers from Cottonbabies that I am waiting for because I think they are a little thinner than the PUL Bummis. The Dappis are probably similar to your Gerbers.

I know Florida has horrible cloth diaper resources. I'm giving you the website of a cloth diaper service that I used in California (Tiny Tots Diaper Service) to get you more familiar with various types of diapers and diaper covers out there. There are PLENTY!

After you've looked at the website you can do a google.com search on diapers, covers, wraps etc. You can find diapers/covers on ebay as well. Prowraps come small enough for a preemie. I used them on my daughter from day one and she was 5 lbs. They're really the best in terms of ease of use and non-leakage but theres so many out there. Once you find a good diaper and diaper cover you won't go back to Gerber ever! Good luck. Oh we used a diaper double at night to avoid using the vinyl pants. I believe Publix carries the diaper doublers. I know of people that used a disposable under the cloth at night also (but only used the disposable or pull up at night WITH a cloth diaper).
I recommend:
Prowraps covers during the day (call 1-800-397-8594 for 2nds)
(2nds are covers with minor blemishes such as a slight nip of the cloth or extra stitching, they work fine and cost less)
Prowraps 2nds are $4.50 each and come in VARIETY of sizes
At night I recommend Gerber vinyl covers, the old style your mother or grama used. There is simply NOTHING else that protects against leaks like they do!
if you're on a budget those are the best two out there. There are more expensive covers and setups, and I can't say I've tried them, but these work perfectly well for me. I recommend getting 7-10 Prowraps in your son's size (by weight, they're adjustable and fit well for a long time) and 5-10 vinyl covers, depending on how often you do diapers. The vinyl works very well when you're going out too, prevents leaks while riding in carseats, etc. The Prowraps will wick a little moisture if not changed often enough, I generally rotate them, using 3 pairs per day...use one, take it off at change and use another, off at change and use 3rd, off at change and use 1st, and so on...gives them time to dry completely in between. I'll be happy to answer any other questions, feel free to call! ###-###-####
I know this is an old request, but I am local and can do local delivery if requested.

Are these used for cloth diapers? I didn't know that people still use these, no offense intended. I know that my father used them on me, but I didn't know that they were still being used...is there a specific purposed for using them instead of Pampers or Huggies??
Just curious.
