I know Kid 2 Kid takes them. I was just there today and there was a sign that says they are taking all seasons of maternity clothes. (the location on Eldorado and Lake Forest in McKinney)
I was wondering if anyone knew of a place to take maternity clothes for resale? I have a small pile that are in great condition (almost new) and wanted to get a pretty decent return on them. I know some kids consignment stores are not known for giving you very much for kids clothes and toys but I wasn't sure about maternity clothes. Thanks!
Thank you to everyone who responded. I ended up donating them to the Dallas Pregnancy Center and they were so appreciative and thankful. It made it all worthwhile. My husband ended up taking them for me and we had some baby clothes that we donated also. They were thrilled, took my husband on a tour of the place and told him all about their mission and hearts for women. It is a great place and we will definately send more stuff to them.

We are thrilled that your readers think highly of our consignment store. But must let you know we no longer carry maternity clothes. This was a difficult decision, but we didn't attract the quality to match the rest of our inventory.

if you can hold off until september, just between friends will be having their fall consignment sale. i've never been pregnant during the sale, but a lot of my friends have bought maternity clothes there. you set your own price and get 70% of what it sells for. i buy almost all of my daughter's wardrobe at the sale :)
here is their dallas website:
http://dallas.jbfsale.com/
they have other sales if that one isn't close enough for you.
I was going to suggest Kid 2 Kid in West Allen, on McDermott. It's in the same shopping center as Voila!, before you get the Atrium at Alma. :)
I believe you get 30% of the sale price on your items.
Clothes Horse Annoynmous on Preston Rd. Or advertise on Ebay.
I know that the Dallas Pregnancy Resource Center is always looking for things like this. Their website is http://www.dallaspregnancyresource.com.
That way you can donate to a good cause!
Take them to Clothes Circuit in Dallas....it's a very upscale ladies resale store and you'll get 45% of the sale price...the children's resale give you 30%. But, warning, the clothes have to be in perfect condition and have to be nice brands. good luck.
I was also going to suggest Kid to Kid in Allen. Also, Allen Community Outreach has a resale store that takes donations. You may get more "money" for your clothes with donating them. ACO lets you determine what your clothes are worth. Sometimes Kid to Kid gives very little for what clothes are worth.
It might be kind of far but I have had good luck with a store called Runt Rethreads in Mesquite, TX they take in season gently used maternity and childrens clothing and toys and other items. I have used them for 6 years. They are a consignment store so you typically get more money for your stuff.

Hello
There is a consignment sale called Divine Consign in Plano, Grapevine and Arlington. They have a sale twice a yr. (summer/winter) You can sell your maternity/childrens clothes up to Junior sizes as well as toys and all of your big items. They charge $10 registration fee and you recieve 70% of your sales. The great thing about the sale is you can make your own prices for your items. the website is www.divineconsign.net
Kid to Kid stores take maternity clothes; you can get a store credit or get cash for them. There is one in Plano off of Parker & Midway Road. They also buy children's clothes, shoes, toys and cribs, etc... :-)
I wanted to thank you for your question (and the "So What Happened"" response below) since I have several bags of maternity clothes to donate. I was looking for a place for women who don't have the means to purchase their own and found the "Dallas Pregnancy Center" through a Google search (thanks to your response). Have a blessed day!
There's always craigslist as well. I don't know how great the return would be. But if you don't have any luck with the consignment stores, you might make progress there. www.craigslist.com. Good luck!
