Get it appraised at several different jewelry stores and see if any of them offer to buy them. Go with the highest price.
I have an old diamond ring I got from my grandmother. It is not a family heirloom, just a ring someone gave her because all of her heirs were gone. I would like to sell it, and would obviously like to get the most money possible. Wondering if any of you know of a good placd to take it in or close to Gilbert? Thanks ladies!

You will only get money for the gold right now not the actual stone... you may want to take it to get appraised and go fro there.
I have sold jewlery at Forever Diamonds Jewlery. It is on Stapley and Baseline a few doors down from Kohls. They are really great. They will look at it and give you a quote of what they will buy it for and then you can choose if you want to sell it. I have sold them some stuff and so has my mother. I go there to get new batteries for my watches and they are really great. I does not cost anything for them to look at it. Good luck.
The retail mark up on jewelry is unbelievable, so unless it's a real ROCK, don't expect much. With gold as high as it is--that might help. Get several appraisals & go from there.
You might be better off keeping it.
