Where to Deliver - Lansdale,PA

I'm moving to Lansdale in January and am due with my 3rd child in April. What's a good hospital in the area. I've seen Abington and Doylestown, but they seems a bit too far. Is there anything closer that's as good? How about docs? Can anyone recommend a good OB?

What can I do next?

I delivered at Grand View and they were wonderful. I had my own room the entire time. I love Dr. Moskoff with the Stoneridge practice. Their office is right next to the hospital. Good luck!
I also have friends that have delivered at Doylestown and Abington. All have been happy with their experiences.

I live right here in Willow Grove, but I traveled to Doylestown Hospital to have my kids. I had several bad experiences at Abington Hospital and preferred not to deliver my kids there. Doylestown Hospital was VERY nice and I loved the experiences, all nurses were extremely nice and helpful.

I have not heard very good things about Central Montgomery either, although it is the closest to you. C.M. was also closest to me when I delivered, but I made the trip to Abington and it was worth it. I had a great experience! Keep in mind that the OB group you choose has to be associated with the hospital you want to deliver it. Abington delivers at least 10 times as many babies a year as C.M. does, and they have a NICU (Neonatal ICU), so that if there are any complications, the baby stays right there with you, instead of having to be flown to CHOP, which would happen if you deliver at any other area hospital. The OB group I used to deliver at Abington was "Women's Healthcare Group". Their North Wales office # is ###-###-####. Hope this helps and congrats on the baby!

I had my son almost two years ago at central montgomery medical center right in lansdale. I went to center for women's health for my ob as well. Dr. DeBrakeleer was my docter. He was great. and all the nurses at central montgomery were wonderful.

Hi J.-
My name is L. and I live in Lansdale. I delivered all 3 of my children at Doylestown. If you can deal with the distance, I would highly reccommend either Doylestown or Abington as they are great hospitals. Another one is Grandview. That is located in Perkasie (309 North) They have Chop Connection there (affiliated with Childrens' hospital of Phila) There is a local hospital in Lansdale, but I haven't heard many good things about it (Central Mont) That is just my opinion. Hope this helps. If you need any other help, give me a call

Hi J.!

When I moved to PA I was 34 weeks pg with my son. I delivered at Central Montgomery. Since I've moved out to Horsham where Abington is closer however I chose to have my 3rd son at Central Montgomery. I too had Dr. DeBrakeleer deliver both of my boys and I couldn't be happier with the hospital and the doctor! The nursing staff still remembers me as well as my son to this day and he is getting ready to turn 3 yrs old next week. I am not a big fan of Abington. The experiences I have are not good ones and I'm not a fan of being treated like just another number to anybody. Especially when it comes down to something as important as delivering my baby I want to have the personalized care. I had most of the same nurses the first time as I did the second time and they were just as great as I remember them being.

Good luck! Hope you find a hospital/doc that you are happy with!

A.
