My daughter was put on it too - I use to get in @ Fry's and Walgreens - Basha's use to have it to. Good Luck. You might be able to order it on line through Similac too.
Hi, moms. My 4 week old has had some bloody stools, so our pediatrician has him temporarily on Similac Alimentum while I begin a dairy free diet. Has anyone had any luck purchasing this type of Similac in stores? We're having a hard time finding a store that carries it in the Valley. Thanks for any help!
Thanks for your replies! We ended up finding it today while running an errand at the Tempe Marketplace Target.

I am not sure what stores sell it but I can tell you I buy my diapers at www.diapers.com and they have the formula on the site. Good Luck.
K.,
I babysit for a mom that uses that I just asked her and she said Babies R Us has it and it is 2.00 cheaper then the grocery stores. She also said you can buy it in bulk there. She said you should register with similac and you will get 4-5 dollar coupons every month.
Good Luck to you

Try Walgreens or CVS Pharmacy. That is where I got it 4 years ago.
Hi... I saw the similac alimentum at the Target on 43rd Ave & Peoria just last night, when I was there getting formula for my daughter (I was looking them all over because we just found out we are pregnant & had to stop breastfeeding). Hope that helps
My eldest son used that formula.....we bought it at Fry's, CVS, Walgreens and on line. I know that the stores sometimes are out and don't always carry a large supply even when they do have it. I would try ordering on line, that is always a sure thing.
My sister uses it also and she buys it at fry's and wal-mart
I bought mine at fry's, they would have a catalina coupon (the coupons they give you when you get your receipt) sometimes for 50% off! Big savings. Keep an eye on sales, stock up when they are on sale...wal mart, target...everywhere has it. You can also try nutramigin (sp)? One is similac, one is emfimil. The nutramiagin didn't stink as much. It is a huge expense so be prepared. And get samples from you ped EVERY time!!!
K., get the business card of the similac rep at your pedi office or ask the nurse there to ask the rep if they ship out a case of formula to new moms. Enfamil sent me a case of Pregestimil for free thats just as pricey as Allimentum!
Also, the nurse asked the rep to leave a can of the formula everytime he came by that she tried saved for me also. (it was always gone, but she tried!)
BUT!!! My 8 mo old had SEVERE bloody stools at 2 mo old & we found out through an AMAZING naturopathic Dr in Phx that she was not only allergic to dairy, but 54 other food items..they actually desensitized her to the allergies (OVERNIGHT & noninvasive) & I have since been able to add all these foods back in my diet with no problems. Thank goodness because I want to ENJOY nursing!) PLEASE look into it! Its called the NEAT program. Natural Elimination of Allergy Treatment & it is WAY cheaper than Allimentum will cost you & will be a lifetime of benefit for your sweet baby.
Tell them Attia's mom sent you, lol. I cant help but tell the world about them as they "fixed" my massive lifelong food allergies too & changed our lives. It isnt even that expensive. Feel free to e-mail me w/ questions.
