I can't find the question about the MIL(I think there were 3 different ones) who got put in the psych ward.
I am very curious if the police and doctors were able to convince her to knock it off.

She showed up at the son's work and made scenes after being told she can't have contact with them.

If I remember correctly, she actually removed the baby'searrings right after they were pierced and other bizarre things.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks, I went through my answers, but it is not there. Someone told me she removed it or asked for it to be removed because hubby didn't want MIL reading this. She stalks them that much! If she is reading this, YOU DID THE RIGHT THING! Don't feel guilty. Her behavior is out of control and hopefully a 72 hour hold will teach her the doctors, police, and society won't tolerate that abuse.

If it is a question that you answered, you can look through the questions you answered under your profile. Click on your name and then on the answer tab and scroll through your answers. I saw several under your answered questions about trouble with MIL. Maybe it was one of them. I did not read them to see. It is possible that it was removed as well.

I don't remember this post but as a police officer I can tell you that if she was committed they weren't able to convince her. The stalking was apparently a symptom of a mental illness in which she was of danger to herself or others. This is a much more serious condition than just invading another's privacy.

If she was just taken in for evaluation she would be released if she wasn't found to be of danger to herself or others. Then your question is a good one that can only be answered by the stalker or "stalkee." This site may not have that answer. You can find the original post and follow up on the site by browsing the posts under a heading that would include mil or perhaps relationships. I'm not familiar with the topic divisions. You can find them on the home page.
