How do you book the cheap one way fare for round trip? I heard Southwest wouldn't let you get that fare coming and going...clear what I might have been mislead.
I have been looking for cheap air fair on line to go to L.A and everything seems to be pretty pricey! Does anyone know of a good website that I can go to?
Thanks! :)
I ended up getting cheap air fare through Southwest it was about $300 for 2 R/T including taxes. Thank you all for your great suggestions!!!

I manage all the travel for our personal and business and I steer clear from the discounters. It is not worth the hassle if there is a mistake.
I deal directly with American Airlines website and Southwest website. Southwest has a lot of great deals. My hubby flies to Houston once a month and I have his tickets booked through November at $49 each way.
The airlines do have deals, check out the websites. Good luck.
Southwest is usually the cheapest, although they don't fly from everywhere, but they do fly to LAX. If they don't fly from your city and you have the option to drive a bit to get to an airport it might be worth it. Check them out, they post a low fare calender for each month with all of the prices for each day and you can choose the cheapest days to fly on, pretty cool.

check KAYAK.com. It's a search engine that checks a bunch of travel websites and shows you all the current airfares for your itinerary - you can then click to take you that that website to purchase (or just go to the airlines' website to book once you know the fare).
Quick way to compare & find best fare.

What we have done in the past is go to www.priceline.com .. at this one they give you an option of taking their current price or trying to "name your own price" and you can save up to 40% on a ticket. We did this last year when we flew to Canada for a family christmas together and saved close to $800 for 2 tickets. It ended up being like buy one get one free in the end. Hint though: the closer to the date of you departure, the higher percentage you save. :)
Here's a few places you can check on this first one, click at the top packages and flights, then flights.....http://ht.ly/1EiEJ
Then here is another one.....http://ht.ly/2qtvJ
And try this too, go to Google and type in airline tickets.......
I hope this helps.....
Just drive. It's about 5-6 hours in the car. You have to get a rental car if you fly, which bumps of the price of the whole enterprise. We did it a few years ago with our 4 year old. We left about 5 am and were there by 11am. Way less hassle than flying. Its an hour to the airport, an hour through security, an hour for picking up the rental car and don't forget the hour flight and that's if its on time. Just drive.
cool i am going to check out the places..we plan on going to disney in nov.
dealnews posts good deals on airfare, not sure if they are all for specific destinations or if there are some general ones:
