There is a domestic violence women and children's shelter in Downers Grove (near 75th street and Lemont Rd). They would gladly accept your diapers!
Hello, my son is FINALLY potty trained (yeah!), but I overbought diapers and pull-ups, and I would love to find a charity to donate them to. Any suggestions of shelters or appropriate charities near Western Springs, IL?

I volunteer at the West Suburban Community Pantry located in Woodridge. They would gladly accept your donation. They serve all of Dupage county residents in need.
Just got this in an email ...
ACTIVE MOMS' CLUB
HOLIDAY DIAPER DRIVE
November 15 - December 12
Goal: 10,000 Diapers
Did you know disposable diapers are one of the most frequently requested items at Chicago food pantries? Diapers are expensive, and struggling families cannot use government aid (such as food stamps or WIC) to purchase them.
Active Moms' Club in collaboration with i.d. gym is holding a holiday diaper drive for four weeks beginning November 15th. Drop off your diapers at i.d. gym. We have an aggressive goal to collect 10,000 diapers, which will supply TWO agencies with enough diapers to distribute for ONE week.
Have extra diapers your little one has already outgrown? Bring in any unused disposable diapers you have on hand. Diapers do not need to be in original packaging and can be "loose." Of course, a brand new package is an extremely generous donation - think of those babies out that are less fortunate!
I know it isnt a charity, but I gave all mine to my kids doctors. They always have kids who need diaper changes and the parents didnt bring any with them...or a school/daycare.
Well, let me just give you my address: lol just kidding!
Here is a link for a women and childrens shelter in Lake county. It is for women and their children who are seeking shelter from a violent situation. Give them a call and see if they will take them!
