It is probably not good for his teeth, but my son still has milk before bed. He just turned 4. My son is not a big eater so the milk helps him sleep a little longer. It is like a vacation day if he sleeps past 6:30.
I am almost finished weaning my daughter off the breast. As of today she only getting breast milk before bedtime. When we drop that feeding, do I replace it with a sippy cup of whole milk or is it time to start going to bed without the milk? I cannot remember when we stopped giving my son before bedtime milk. She is 13 months old. TIA!

My daughter will be 3 in March and she usually always will drink a cup full of milk before bed. I think it helps them sleep better. Hope this helps. I would still give her a sippy cup of whole milk for sure.

My dd just turned 2 and still gets milk before bed. I give her 2 cups of milk in the morning, (she's not a big morning eater) and a cup of milk before she goes to bed.
I transitioned her from breast to cup at 11 1/2 months and her last feeding to give up was the morning one. One day, I just stopped, and she was fine with it. We never looked back.
Just make sure to brush her teeth before bed.
Every child is different, with different needs - the bedtime nursing is more about comfort than nutrition at 13 months. I didn't drop that night time breastfeeding until my dd wanted to stop - at age 2+ (my older 2 weaned by age 1 - and didn't have milk at bedtime - they didn't like milk).
IF they have an adequate diet - there is no need for "milk" before bed - though most kids need a snack to sustain them for 10+ hours of sleep.
We tend to focus on not needing the milk by 2. I have great sleepers, and none of them have had milk past that, but truly every child is different. I would find that by potty training time for sure you would need to drop it, but again, that might just be my kids. If you are concerned about her actual hunger, maybe a simple snack before bed, like some string cheese or yogurt. Still getting the calcium, but a little more substance. I tend to prefer they fill up on actual food, but we dont do a lot of night time snacks. I want them to eat enough dinner:) Good luck making the switch. ~A.~
