lol, i turn to you all yet again,
ok long story short, I've need a new swim suit for a while, I liked the floral printed ones at lands end for the 2011 swim season. but didn't have the $100, .... actually we probably had it, i just have some weird hang up that i don't deserve to have nice stuff.

last week my strap broke as i was catching children jumping into the pool, yeah fun wardrobe malfunction.

I've checked around our local stores and really don't love anything, I"m a size 12 in normal clothes but a 38DD so my girlies often get squished or sag. Lands end has just about nothing in my size. Like i said I love love love the floral print that was out last year,

I checked ebay and no go, so first i'm looking for any places to look for last season swim wear. something like Overstock.com?????

number two, can anyone suggest another brand of suit that would hold me up? I don't want to look like a hot grandma, but i also don't want to look like a teenager wanna be.

thanks

What can I do next?

Question 1: I'm the exact same size, so I have the same problems! TJ Maxx or Marshalls for last season's suits. Just bought two there two weeks ago - $30 each.
Question 2: My best suggestion is that instead of a size 12, look into size 16 in the women's section. The reason is that I found a great underwire tankini top there last year! The exact same suit was in misses sizes without the underwire, but for whatever reason, only the women's sizes offered an underwire version! That suit gives me the best support ever. The little elastic shelf bras in suits do NOTHING for 38DD. So now, I don't worry about the size, I just look for the underwire. And not all women's suits offer it, it's just rare to find it in my normal size, so I just look for the underwire. And I think I got that suit at Kohl's.

I'm a similar size. I promise you that you cannot go wrong with a Lands End suit. Nothing will compare to the support of the top and how comfortable you'll feel in a good supportive suit!
Go up a size on top.
Check the website often!
Look at your local Sears that carries LE--all on sale now so you'll save!
Worth every penny!

I just got a Land's End suit at Sears a week ago and there was quite a selection left and the prices were much better than on the LE web site. I got the tugless tank for $19 instead of $29 - $40 which is the current price on line.

try la vie n rose
or bikini village, maybe even walmart. I'm 34DD so i understand. usually biniki village has sizes and la vie n rose has bathing suits that "fit like bras" and i have a couple from walmart that fir.
goodluck!

I wear a DD also, and I usually have some pretty good luck at Ross or TJ Maxx. I end up with brands that I haven't heard of because they are expensive, and they still cost $50+ but, they work really well. Just be sure to try them on before you buy. Also, I have had good luck with Fashion Bug, but I am plus size, so I don't know how the swim suits do in misses sizes, but I know Ross does well because I have gotten my mom and sister's there.

I can't suggest a store but if you are going to wear a swimsuit get a good one so that the straps don't break. If you can afford two suits you will get more wear because you can rotate them. Oh and if you don't spend $100 on you, who is? Aren't you worth it? It's not like you are spending $100 every week it's for the whole season on what you will be doing. So put you at the top of the list once in a while.

Enjoy the end of summer.

PS I had the same problem younger that you have with the girls but things have changed over the years but I still spend a bit here and there on me.

I needed something for my DD's. I'm in my thirties and a size 8, but don't want it all hanging out. I can't go Landsend yet. Maybe in another 15 years. You didn't state your age. For me the happy medium is Bravissimo.com ( Their target age range is probably 30's and 40's) They sell everything by cup size, so you shop for your suit by your bra size! But they are pricy. At least $90 for a Bikini (they have one pieces and tankinnis as well). Great and easy return policy.

And they totally sell last years inventory at discount (but sizes are limited)

I bought a few Lands End two piece (tankini) underwire suits this year that I love. Last year they also had some "grecian" style one piece swimsuits that we great, even without an underwire. Did you check their clearance and last chance areas on-line? Lands End suits seem to have some of the best underwires or built in bras.
