My daughter loves the Little Mommy dolls by Fisher Price. Personally, I am don't like the dolls that speak because I feel it kind of limits kids' imaginations (and the dolls get really annoying after a while :)
Hi gals! Just wondering...my daughter turned 2 in October and is all about her little baby dolls. She's got the little "cheapies" from Walmart which she mothers all the time. For her birthday we bought her the doll accessories (stroller, high chair, etc) so I was thinking for Christmas we'd get her an interactive doll. Any opinions or ideas on which one might be the best from your experience? Thanks so much!!!!

Well my daughter is 3 this year but last yr we did the doll, highchair, stoller thing for her. We got her a "nicer doll" it cries and opens its eyes and such...she was so scared and troubled by it that she never played w/ it. She just now will if I turn it off. She preferes the ones that dont do anything. I guess it was sensory overload at that age. She does however like the dolls that have several outfits that you can change and the little assoceries that come with the dolls..like bottles, plates, spoons,....ect. I did get her the Toddler doll that they show on TV for this yr. Its a bit diff from the "baby" like dolls. SHe sings fun songs and counts and is a bit more educational but not too scary. I let her play with it in the store just to make sure she liked it and had some intrest in it. Each yr at b-days and Christmas we take a trip to Toys R Us and Walmart and have a play day w/ the toys so Im sure to get her what she wants. Well good luck!
I was on the ToysRUs website yesterday looking for a new baby doll for my 4 year old and found one called "Baby Alive". She moves her eyes, talks and comes with special baby food you can actually feed to her, then she poops it out into a changeable diaper. Thought we'd give it a try this Christmas.
I also noticed that you can buy all sorts of accessories and clothes for her (sold separately).
my daughter is a year old, she likes to kiss her cabbage patch then toss it on the floor.
in other words, we're not quite there yet ;)
My 6 y/o daughter and 2.5 y/o daughter prefer to play w/ the Walmart dolls! My older one has a couple of nicer, crying, eating dolls and she puts her to bed so she can play w/ the other ones!
One thing they both love is new doll clothes and the "baby Moses" sleeping basket!

I dont know if there is such a thing as the best baby doll. There are some that make noises, eat, bat there eyes and pee and some that talk and help with spelling or there ABC's. My daughter I swear has an orphange in her room of baby dolls rangeing from expensive "nicer" dolls to ones who make noises etc. She loves one my dad picked up at the dollar store for 5.00! She wont play with any of the others. I think the best baby doll is the one your daughter thinks is the best. Weither it be plain or a nicer doll she will tell you what her favriot is and that one will be the best for her.
Well, I bought my three year old daughter a Hispanic Baby alive.. She speaks english and spanish.. She is soo cute! Some of the things she say's Hola, Mommy! " i love u mommy! Her mouth moves when she takes her bottle and when she's speaking. Her eyes blink, and best of all she POOPIEs in her diaper!!! LOL!! Very cute.. Problem is they are very hard to find here in the Dallas area.. I have a friend in the El Paso area and they have tons of them.. She runs about $50..
They are sold at Walmart, Target, toys r us!
